“This makes what... the fourth time this week?” It was almost routine for them now. They do battle against the Emblan Empire and whatever worlds they tampered with... then battle against each other. But the latter “skirmishes” were always one sided.

“If that trembling is any indication, you’re practically soiling yourself from excitement. Gods, how did I get summoned by you again?”

“So you mean to tell me you’re going off to this... kingdom of Askr to lend your strength to a cause you know nothing about? Is that wise?”

“They called for me specifically to represent Hoshido. Not Big Sis Hinoka, Big Brother Ryoma or even... them. I hear tell that the legendary warriors that they’ve been fighting [For Fun; For Glory] will be there too.” Takumi answered, standing at the gate to the outrealms with a peculiar glowing gemstone in his hand.

 “This must be something only I can do... and I think the trip’ll do me some good. I might learn something about how to deal with that Subspace bastard... and more importantly, I wanna come back as a stronger person. One worthy of the people who put their lives on the line every day for me so that they need not do so anymore. Besides, we’ve asked people to join our cause all the time... what’s wrong with wanting to do the same for others?”

“Hah. Sounds like someone’s maturing...” Leo jested, expecting some kind of remark or retaliation... but to his surprise, no such thing came. He was serious about this, there was no talking him out of it. Then the best the dark knight would do is support the decision of his Hoshidan counterpart as best he could. “Well then. I concede. But do remember to come back in one piece. We’ve still got a campaign to finish after all...”

“Yeah... now let’s see what these so-called Heroes are all about.”
