My dad was an early adopter of cable and VCRs. In the early 80’s, the closest video store to us was 80 miles away. It worked sort if like early Netflix in that you rented the videos in the store, but mailed them back. Of course, I was always drawn to the horror section and the AMAZING VHS covers. This film’s box I was obssessed with because there was nothing more disturbing to my gradeschool mind than cannibalism. Add in a microwave and I was totally freaked…but intrigued. 30+ years later, this is still one of those vintage horror VHS covers that reminds me of the glory days of low budget home video.
VHS Viral was horrIble. Well, it would have been a great trilogy had the director stayed with the formula that worked for the first two films.
