I really liked this setup. I liked the interplay between the large space and the small speaker and I liked how people were afraid to approach the speaker. If given the chance to do it again Id want a darker space and the ability to play it louder. Because I was worried about disturbing everyone around me I didnt have the video looping, but rather was in the area playing it for people who came by. However I left for approx 30+ minutes and Darrin told me during this time people came by and were unimpressed to see it not playing. Angelina had remastered and reedited my original audio and given it more of a structure.My intent for this piece was to create something that overwhelmed you so much that you ended up feeling washed in it and to hit an almost meditative state with it. I think this was successful. I also like the image I created with the stacked amp and the CRT standing alone in a room, It felt intimidating. Everyone I asked said that the piece made them feel overwhelmed and I even saw some people rush out of the room. I like this concept and would like to take it further. I wonder about putting it in more open public accessible spaces were the audio can travel further and draw people in to this single CRT.
