What's your favorite trait about Jassi baby

Hi ! Jaskirat is a character I deeply adore. I say this almost every day but I wish we saw more of Jaskirat Singh Rangi.

My favourite trait of him is his boyish nature.

Contrary to popular belief of him being a very serious and calm child, I feel like he must have been one of those children in school who, despite being incredibly good in studies, were never in the good books of teachers. Atleast not like that. He wouldn't be praised constantly and neither would he be the student teachers used as an example. He would probably be the type where teachers are like, "your grades don't match your actions." But despite everything, they would still favour him in a quieter way. I feel like he would be the type to tell Harleen and Jasleen "agar koi kuch bole toh mujhe aakar bata dena" in case anyone misbehaved with them and that's because he was aware that even if he picked a fight, he would just be let off with a warning. And you just know he would be smug about it.

He would be the type to poke fun at Harleen for her height, hide behind his father everytime his mother yelled at him, be a wingman for pinda most of his life (except for when it came to his own sister) , and more.

I know jaskirat singh rangi is a lot of things. A soldier, an avenger etc. But I like to think that at some point of his life, he too was just a boy.

And I love that the most about him.

I know I jumped into the headcanon territory so forgive me for that 😞 but yeah, I have a lot of interpretations about him.

In 'Zillat, Zimmedari aur Zarurat.' jaskirat's character is just how I imagine him to be before and if that incident hadn't occurred.

What's in your vintage computer/tech collection? (Asks someone with a storage unit that does indeed have a lot of stuff I probably don't need but which is still nifty and it'll all fit into a house someday I swear.)

Oh god, that's a loaded question because...I have.......a lot? I don't actually know if I'm able to list it all without it taking a while. I'm also at the "get a storage unit" point: I'm able to store it, but accessing it is a problem where I'm at. I'm also at "starting to make spreadsheets", especially for games and software...I've needed to make more. I've got tons of technical books as well; the oldest ones are probably my TV/radio books from the 20s/30s-40s, but the oldest computer books I believe are early 60s. Software wise I have boxes upon boxes of stuff, mostly Mac, and mostly 90s, but also 80s, as well as a pretty robust game collection.

Just a selection of interesting computer things:

Macintosh IIfx

SGI Octane (to be worked on, needs an HDD installed...)

GRiDPad (also needs an HDD but came to me complete in box, possibly brand new since I got to open the plastic)

A few PCs, mostly whiteboxes/custom built - I have a 486 and Pentium III that get used the most, and I've got like five different soundcards for the Pentium III, as well as iirc a Voodoo 3 for 3D graphics

Toshiba T3100e - probably one of my favorite PCs because it's portable, a little quirky, and has an amber plasma gas display

Interesting game things (very abridged because I have tons of stuff):

Casio Loopy

NEC PC-FX, PC Engine, and TurboExpress

3DO FZ-1 (Panasonic)

Early consoles: Fairchild Channel F, Odyssey 2, Odyssey 100, Atari 2600, Microvision, ColecoVision, IntelliVision...a busted arcade table...

Almost every Nintendo console from 1983 to 2006ish, save for a few examples like the Virtual Boy

Lots of weird accessories for different consoles; I collect virtual pet games and quirky simulation games, and after I expanded into Japanese stuff, there is a lot in the way of quirky simulation games. Weirdest by far may be a network modem plus funky controller for the Super Famicom that would've been likely used to place bets on horse races

Some of my music/synthesizer things (too lazy to look at all of them and like 50% of everything needs repairs):

ARP Axxe model I and Casio CZ-101 (both need major work)

Roland Alpha Juno (basically works, the joystick needs repair)

Electronic tabla (Indian drum machine!)

Yamaha TX81z

Proteus/1 (needs new power cord)

Akai S2000 sampler

A couple other sample based drum machines, rackmount equipment like a MIDI timekeeper, etc

Tons of CDs and software (such as old versions of Autotune, sample packs...)

I also use a 1983 Zenith TV and have a few more small CRTs (even a PVM!) I use at home or for vintage tech shows, as well as lots of misc electronics like old test equipment, calculators (sorry, no HP programmables :( ) and more, like collections of cards/components.

Which TMNT Write Fight fics were your favorite to write/read?

omg there were so many fantastic fics that came out of write fight

i had wanted to write a couple but only managed to actually get one out (cuz college) which was Blurred Vision

but honestly i’m pretty proud of it, it’s not my best work but i’ve been having a dry spell when it comes to writing for a long time and i was super excited when i managed to get a one shot out that was actually decent in length for once ahA.

as for fics i’ve read there’s honestly so many i really enjoyed

obviously rem’s it gets you in the end

i rlly liked dandy’s port in a storm

minotaur maze: round two by blueskiesofsaturn was a really fun read <- also their fic head in the clouds
