for someone who has very little ambition i think it's sometimes difficult for me to conceptualize just how important taylor's career is to her so when i Remember i'm like. i can't believe how many partners she had who straight up did not care about it. like that's her life's work that's her blood sweat and tears that's what her agony is for like it is the purpose of her life in almost every way. and seeing her be with someone who seems to a) understand that and b) genuinely be interested in interacting with that part of her is so special.
the most frustrating part about online fandom & social media culture is that whenever something like this happens it dissolves into discourse about who's having the Correct reaction and fear/shock crusts over into misplaced frustration and anger at each other. like obviously if someone is saying something truly awful or bigoted that's not a pass and is probably reflective of greater values they hold. but instead of nitpicking imperfect phrasing or posts that are essentially stream-of-consciousness rants, i wish we could just like. talk to each other with the understanding that people say stupid shit when emotions are high and might not realize how they come across until later, if that makes sense? i know that's deeply antithetical to the self-riteousness/rage fuelled social media machine, and that this problem is much bigger than swiftieism. i'm just always wishing we could be kinder and more thoughtful idk. maybe this can just never be the platform for that, though.
i have to confess that i have a cardigan and think about selling it along but i can't bear to part with it despite never wearing it :(
sorry but the taylor trixie connections really are everywhere
i love when katya learns about the workings of the modern world
remember when taylor was doing interviews for red tv and was like the nice thing about this vs promoting the original is that i'm much happier this time around!
trixie!!
