Another nuisance. Her name was Vi, right? They hadn't even known each other for long, so he was hoping that she would just keep walking. The only downside was that he was walking right toward her through the crowd. There wasn't much chance of him slipping through some kind of side path to get away from her. He kept his eyes averted, hoping to whatever deity was watching that she wouldn't see or recognize him.
