five times kissed.
Five first kisses
One
The first kiss she ever gives Vanitas is a shy thing, unsure of itself. She doesn't remember where they were or what they were doing when it happened, only that she just needed to kiss him. So she did.
And she's glad, because that means a lot more kisses will follow.
Two
She doesn't remember their first kiss, a literal lifetime ago--as far as she's concerned, this is the first time she's ever kissed him. Her heart's still stuttering from the psuedo argument they'd had before things had come out; he hasn't commented on it even though she's sure he can feel it with how close together they're laying in his bed. He's warm, so she pulls him into another kiss.
Three
She's a princess, and he's a dragon.
Le's known Vanitas for as long as she can remember, her dragon knight guarding her tower since before she could walk. He obviously can't come inside, but she spends many nights on her windowsill, his head pressed against the wall beside it as they talked. (She's never worried about falling of course, because Vanitas will always catch her if she does.)
A prince comes one day, to 'slay the foul beast' and rescue the princess he's heard about. Her pleas fall on deaf ears, and Vanitas is on the ground when she finally breaks free of the men to rush to his side.
She kisses his nose gently, runs fingers over scales while she cries and his fire goes out.
Four
Four is messy and angry, another argument about letting her go that gets derailed when he shoves her against a wall and slams their mouths together. She bites him and he bites back, scratches at his back as she pulls him closer.
Her mouth's red and swollen when he finally steps back so they can breathe, before stalking away. She's left pressing fingers to her lip in surprise. Had that really happened?
Five
Le's not supposed to get involved with her patients, and strictly speaking she never does. Not even when they want to be--but. Something about Vanitas... Maybe the way he talks like she's the center of his universe, or looks at her like she's the only bit of water in a desert? Just, something. She's drawn to it, to him.
He's certifiably insane and she loves him anyway. (She knows, because she kissed him last session and for a single glorious moment he looked like every wish he'd ever had had been granted.)
