Arms instinctively wrap around the girl as she all but flings herself at Esme. Whatever she tries to get out is lost amongst sobs and, even with vampiric hearing, Esme can't make out a word of it.

Instead she holds Bella to her. The girl is weightless in her arms.

"Hey, Bella, hey..." She whispers against the brunette's ear, "what's wrong?" If Esme is going to be able to help then she has to be able to know. "Come on, darling, it's alright. I've got you." One hand habitually rubs circles across Bella's back, patting her every now and then— almost akin to a baby being burped, but not Esme's intention. "Shall we try and breathe together?"

A brow arched automatically in reply, Esme's expression one of confusion more than anything else. What was is about red-eyed vampires that made them think Esme was angry at them, especially those considered friends? Still, Esme shook her head before verbally confirming she was, indeed, not mad at Garrett.

"Look, unless you've broken a vintage vase—and I'd leave that to Emmett of all people—I don't think you've got anything to worry about."

Esme has to hunt. The flames in her throat are absolutely unbearable; unlike Carlisle, Esme's control is neither perfect nor well practiced. How is she supposed to deal with clients when all she can think of was burying her fangs into their necks?

The forests, once a place of respite, now have Esme on edge. Every breeze, every twig snap. God, it feels like living in Charles' shadow again.

The voice carried by the wind does nothing to lessen Esme's anxiety. Dark eyes dart around trees trying to spot the red head, but her thirst has her clumsy and innatentive.

"We want no part of it," Esme hisses, the words disappearing into a settling fog. "Just leave us alone."

He knew he was the possessive type. Winnie Darling was his. He might share with Vane and the twins, but no one else. It was an interesting turn of events to see her jealous though.

"Hey!" Wendy had been searching all morning for what she had lost, or rather, misplaced. Her memory. As she saw the boys with it in their hands, she couldn't help but rush over. "You'll ruin it! Give it back!" She lacked the patience in waiting for them to hand it over. Instead, she tried to snag the metal tube from the one who held it tightly.
