@acourtcfmuses plotted for Finnick!
He'd developed a shadow during training. Nimue had taken to sticking by Finnick, perhaps hoping people would pay attention to him and not to her. Whatever the case, it was raising eyebrows amongst the others of the Career pack. She'd volunteered. They expected her to join them. But there she was, trailing after the man from Four silently.
Or, well, she was silent for a while. It was only as she found a station by his to focus on that she spoke. "---Is Mags okay?" He would know better than anyone, right? But had that really been a concern that was plaguing her? Shockingly, yes.
He was keeping an eye out for his little shadow. The look the other careers were giving her was not a pleasant once since she had taken to sticking near him instead of them. An act of defiance that he wasn't sure Nimue knew herself how dangerous it was. His role in this game wasn't to survive, it was to get Twelve out at all cost. An innocent little thing Twelve was too. Her fiancée on the other hand understood his jokes.
"Mags is okay." it was horrifically bittersweet having Mags here in training. On one hand he was glad that Annie who was already broken form her own games would not need to take part, but on the other, Mags was like a grandmother to him. She had been there for him when his family were killed by the Capitol for disobeying, was there as he cried and screamed whenever he returned from the Capitol before he grew numb to it all. "She's accepted what's too come. I'm really hoping to keep her safe though."
@acourtcfmuses plotted for Sebastian!
The new Gryffindor had, seemingly, been waiting just outside where she'd determined the entrance to the Slytherin common room to be--- a blank wall. Her knees were drawn up as she leaned against the wall, waiting, trying to ignore the passing glances and stares. She was an odd sight for far too many reasons.
Each time the door opened, her gaze rose, a pattern which continued until Sebastian Sallow appeared. "Sebastian!" Pushing herself up, she brushed off, hoping she hadn't startled him too badly. "You didn't get into too much trouble, did you? I heard Scribner say she was going to the Headmaster." She should have made herself known. She shoulod have.
"Scribner didn't go to Black. She did owl my Uncle though, so my next trip to Feldcroft is going to be fun." He mused lightly as his eye landed on the Gryffindor, a smile tugging at his lips. It wasn't the first time he was caught in the library, he was sure it would not be his last. The Disillusionment Charm had it's limitations. He had enjoyed the evening though, having a partner in crime to sneak around with. It had been some time since he's had a companion in mischief.
"Are you alright though?" He asked quickly. "Peeve's didn't find you afterwards?" Hopefully not. The poltergeist was an annoying devilish being. "Did you find what you had been looking for?" what was it she had been looking for again, he assumed a book, due to the library of it all, but could never quite tell when it came to the forbidden section of the library, there were a lot of unique items stored down there.
Draco was organizing ingredients behind the counter, his mind fully concentrated on what he was doing.
When he heard the doorbell, he raised his eyes, prepared to give his standard greeting - but fell short. He'd recognize that hair anywhere. He took a deep breath, not really believing his eyes. When she approached the counter, realizing who he was, silver eyes were locked onto her brown ones. At her words, he remembered himself, finally, and stood, clearing his throat.
"Granger," he greeted her smoothly, calmly. "I'm well, thank you. Welcome to The Measured Draught," He paused on the name. "What can I brew for you?" Inwardly, he cringed. Why did he cringe? He said it to every other customer. Why cringe with her? He absentmindedly adjusted his cufflinks as he held eye contact with her. "And... also, how are you?" He added almost sheepishly, remembering his manners.
"Oh, I'm actually just looking for some ingredients if you have them in stock? Horklump juice, for one. I'm wanting to make a batch of wiggenweld potion. It's always handy to have a vial in my bag and in my flat for emergencies." She was overexplaining it seemed and she bit the inside of her lip to keep from word vomiting at the blond in front of her.
"I'm... alright. I'm still deciding what I want to do, so I spent a year in the muggle world, realised that's not where I belong now." not after everything. "So, I'm currently working at Flourish and Blotts while I decide on next steps. I've never been great when it came to making decisions." she found herself admitting, Merlin, she'd even got a time turner during her time at Hogwarts because the thought of choosing between classes had been too overwhelming when she didn't know what she would need for future jobs.
"What about you, how are you? This place looks amazing." Though she supposed she shouldn't be surprised that he found a career in potioneering. She could admit that her talents in brewing were certainly not to the level of Malfoy or Harry; plus Malfoy's godfather had been a talented potion master.
Odette listened to him, unaware of the full reasonings as to why he was so upset and his mind otherwise occupied. She too had a busy year, her parents once again pressuring her to come to a darker side in which she always and clearly refused. The scsr on her arm ached as she thought about it briefly but pushed it aside as she put down her quill and moved to squeeze his shoulder. "I'm sorry to hear that Sebastian." She said softly.
"I'm always here if you need me." She continued with a small smile. "I hope a cure can be found for Anne sooner rather than later." Her essay now left abandoned on the table as she put her attention fully onto him. "H-How far was too far?"
"I appreciate that." he had a lack of people on his side lately, and having her there if he needed her was important to him. He just had to ensure she never found out what he did. His fingers played with a quill, a sigh on his lips. "I insulted Eilidh, put both her and Ominis in danger on multiple occasions. I haven't been a good friend since Anne was cursed."
It wasn't a lie, all of it was true, it just missed out the parts that would get him imprisoned in Azkaban for the rest of his life. "It's just since my parents died, Anne's all I have and the thought of losing her? It's made me rather singular focused, and that's led to some poor decisions on my part."
Steve paused to think about it, “Hmm, well I think it might be the part where you let me distract you. Yes, that screamed very focused.” His smile slowly turned into a upward smile, tilting his head to the side after the kiss, “But this is definitely important to you, so why don’t you tell me what you’re working on? I’m not exactly an academic but, sometimes I have my moments.”
"You're a menace, you know that right?" Malia resisted the urge to roll her eyes at him, but she leaned in, stealing another quick kiss. "I'm working on a resume. Though as the youngest Sinclair liked to mention, missing most of high school isn't conductive to job searching." The kid wasn't wrong. Sassy as hell, but not wrong. Malia's skills were more life and death, not anything requiring math.

@acourtcfmuses: “ have a drink with me. ” (To Nick from Caliban )
Gesturing with a nod, Nick's brow rises with surprise. ❛ Only one? ❜ He asks, subtle smirk teetering along his lips. He's no stranger to indulgence. No one in the Coven is.
Folding his arms across his chest, his feet shuffle as he approaches the bar. Rarely does Nick ever come down this far. Rustic woods all around, mirrors lined with gold, glasses through the ages. He absorbs all of it in the moment. The last time he came down this way was for Sabrina's sake ( or rather for his own sake to drown out the memories ). Unfortunately, not even the magic of alcohol is enough the remove a Spellman from memory.
❛ I'll take your strongest. ❜ He blurts before even processing his options. He's never been a man with a taste for alcohol. While he knows the profiles, he considers it more a tool like a shovel to bury away the things he'd rather not see. Or at least, that's his recent mentality. ❛ So why the sudden hospitality? I figured you, of all people, would have plenty of options to keep you company. ❜
"To start with, yes." The Demon Prince smirked as he brought his glass to his lips. Before moving to pour the warlock a drink. He wasn't typically one for drinking alone, hence the requirement for some company, even if it was in the form of his rival for his Queen's affections.
"I figure, we both care for my Queen, and while she seems to wish for neither of us. I feel that the lack of competition allows us the perfect opportunity to get to know one another." Plus it wouldn't hurt for him to have connections in the Mortal realm that wouldn't entirely be unopposed to him taking over the mortals. Especially if it removed another rival for Sabrina's affections. That mortal boy.
"Plus, I would rather not drink alone." He shrugged as he set a glass in front of the Warlock before filling his own once more. Placing the stopper back in the bottle before bringing the glass up to cheers. "To unholy friendships?"
@acourtcfmuses liked for a lyric starter from a maximoff
"So why should I care about a bad reputation, anyway?"
"You shouldn't, we'll never be able to please everyone. But stay safe, yeah?" That was the most important part, to her anyways.
"I wish you could, but that would be selfish of me." Wanda told her daughter as she stroked her hair. She hated leaving Mila behind, but it was the least risky option. "You're safe from S.W.O.R.D here, and you need to get some time being a teenager. You've had enough time taken away from you, darling." She pointed out.
"Then be selfish mom." The thought of her mom out there risking her life, her brothers somewhere unknown, dad... gone. She didn't want to be alone again. Didn't want to play pretend at this normal life while the people she loved were in danger. S.W.O.R.D, had a lot to answer for. The pain and suffering they had caused her parents, had tried to kill her brothers. "The time I spent here before my memories came back, something was always missing. I didn't feel like I belonged here, I never have."
I feel like someone should write V.ision and let Mila be a daddy's girl in a thread.
I also think she needs her brothers.
@ofcrimsonenchantresses | continued from here
"What if I came with you though?" Mila was sure she could help in some way. She didn't want to be here any more, she wanted to be with her family, her mom. She knew things were dangerous, but they could do anything as a family right? Westview was proof of that surely. "I could help?" she was sure her words were muffled against her mother's shoulder as she hugged into her.

@acourtcfmuses: “ please just … leave me alone. “ (To Peter from Lydia )
His eyes avert, and Peter draws a hand to his chest as if she's wounded him. The plea of her voice is sharp to his ears. A frown pulls at his lips, but there's something apathetic in the way he presents it. ❛ You know I can't do that. ❜ He admits, surely confirming her own fears. Something about Peter's tone sounds sincere but lacks apology. They're tied together, for his better and likely her worse.
Peter steps forward then and draws the hand at his chest to her hair. Fingers toy with the ends. His eyes settle to the way her hair looks like the leaves in autumn. Lydia's always so striking. Everything about her demands admiration, every piece of her compelling. Leave her alone?
❛ You know how important you are to me, don't you? ❜ Irreplaceable. Unparalleled. Special. There are a dozen words in the dictionary to convey his point, but his eyes demand her to listen rather than his words. ❛ And I think I'm important to you, too. Don't you agree? ❜
She knew he would refuse. Had hoped he would see sense, but knew he wouldn't. It felt like a never ending cycle of being stuck. Fate tangling them together in impossible ways. That all began when he unlocked her abilities as a banshee. A connection that no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get him to break them free off. Her lips twitched in irritation. That sickly genuine tone of his that she knew wasn't real. "You can, you just refuse too."
She knew that deep within that, he wouldn't. Her heart hammering in her chest as he stepped close, as his fingers played with her hair. "Please, Peter." there had to be a part of him that was reasonable, that could see how unhealthy this was, for both of them. Eyes cast to the side, trying to look anywhere but him. To the way his eyes always seemed to pull her in.
A handsome guy telling you that you were important to him? Lydia wasn't entirely immune to such things. It caused a wave of warmth through her, one that she knew she shouldn't feel, but felt all the same. "Peter." His eyes were striking, always had been, had a way of commanding her attention with a mere look.
@acourtcfmuses liked for a starter || Victoria & Angus
She was almost late. This had never happened to the Ravenclaw, even when she was brand new to Hogwarts, she was never late or almost late. Barely making it into Herbology before it was time for class. She had taken a wrong turn while her mind had been wandering. She missed having a field guide that would help her find her classes. Maybe she should have explored the castle more on her own without the help of magic.
Sliding into the nearest seat she took a deep breath and let it out. Made it just in time.
"Angus, hello." She said looking over at the familiar hufflepuff. "Looks like we have Herbology together this term."
Herbology was one of the only classes that Angus was never late for. Whether or not that was to do with his small crush on Professor Garlick? He wouldn't tell. So here he was bright eyed, bushy tailed, ready to talk plants. The Hufflepuff wasn't the most academically gifted. His skills lay in more leisurely pursuits such as Quidditch which he was really hoping Headmaster Black would reinstate this year.
"Victoria! Fancy meeting you here." He grinned at the Ravenclaw, an easy smile on his features. "Seems like we do, fancy being my desk buddy for the term?" he offered warmly, he liked the blonde now seated next to him, and while he was sure she was likely closer with Eilidh and they Slytherins, he wouldn't say no to getting to know her better this year.
"So what has you all in a frazzle this morning?" He asked curiously, though he was sure it was likely due to the distance between Ravenclaw tower and the Greenhouses. It was still a distance for Hufflepuff, but not as much as the tower. Though he certainly knew the pinch of trying to get to a class on time. Astronomy when the previous class was in the Dungeons or ground floor? He was never making it to class on time.
