@viciousshenanigans: every time I hear it I can only think "Oh Pachelbel, Pachelbel, I'll see your ass in hell" and I feel like that's not the most appropriate reaction but the Pachelbel Rant was filled with so much truth that I can't help it
★ hobby, ★secret, ★fear, and ★lust for all the children <3
Nate’s alway been a bit of a loafer and lazy, the product ofsomeone who had everything laid at his feet. However when no longer in a privilegedposition he takes it upon himself to do his own gardening, and finds the hard labor ofdigging one of the most satisfying thing he has ever done, the ache at the end of the day pleasurable. The Carmichael’sgarden in Sanctuary before the war was the most envied in the street.
Molly used to exchange letters with her old friend VincentLafferty. They were mostly friendly but she never told Nate even though hewould not likely be jealous (even though Vincent was the one she lost hervirginity to) and Vincent lived with his wife on the other side of thecountry. Still, she never talked about it.
Mitch fears losing his loved ones. He tries hard to hide thefeelings he has about Nora and Mitch Junior and he can’t bare to see otherslose loved ones either. His greatest fear is once again losing those close tohim even though he brushes that fear off with laughter.
Lust
Nate loves when his lover takes over (part laziness on hispart) but being told what to do is a big turn on for him, being tied up a closesecond. He likes the bossy types in bed.
Molly loves being touched and caressed. Massages she findsare the best thing to get her in the mood for some good lovin’
Mitch likes dirty talk. It always starts in a joking manner, but if consent is given he loves to hear it, and he loves to talk it. He’s not shy of writing it down either ;)

Sounds about right. I’m so uninterested in this game. I don’t think I’ve ever been so unimpressed with something like I am with this. You’re smart for waiting to get it.
I’ll probably get it eventually, once the price drops and I actually have an idea of what I’m getting into, but I’m deeeefinitely waiting. I don’t want to judge it as a bad game before I’ve played it (nor do I want to be a spoilsport for my friends who are trying to just have a good time playing it), but nothing in the promotional materials grabbed my attention (and the occasional “meh” or “disappointed” review just kinda affirms my feelings). my trust in BioWare has been pretty low in general, so I’m gonna play it safe here and wait it out.
now, to be fair, I’ve also seen a lot of people who really enjoy the game. it’s just that the only part I’ve heard multiple strong positive reactions about is the Reyes romance.
Ask meme for Sal: 3, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 21, 26, 30, 33, 36, 42, 47, and 49
Another one that took forever :’) sorry about that, but here we go!
The Excessively Detailed Headcanon Meme
3: Do they exercise, and if so, what do they do? How often?
Yes, he does! He goes for a bit of everything, but enjoys strength training the most, when he has the time for it. Expect to see him doing pushups and crunches in the morning. Setting aside some time for exercising will happen if he can afford to do it - say, if he’s staying in town for a little longer while on a job. Sal doesn’t have a home, so he doesn’t exactly have a place or equipment to exercise as much as he’d like to.
10: Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such?
Sole Survivor!Sal has seen some shit and done some shit - he has depression, PTSD that made that depression worse. Companion!Sal goes through things just as traumatic, but deals with them better due to upbringing, so watching people die isn’t something that scars him. That being said, he has little in the way of ambition, but whether that’s because he’s been depressed for a long time or the apathy came later I couldn’t tell you. He denies having problems, however, and tells everyone he just wants to be sitting on a pile of caps. He then drinks copious amounts of liquor to forget all about the lack of ambition and the emptiness it’s created inside him.
11: Intellectual pursuits?
For companion!Sal, virtually none. He would learn more about art in general, and music in particular, but he doesn’t see any practical uses for it and would rather spend the time making money.
14: Physical abnormalities? (Both visible and not, including injuries/disabilities, long-term illnesses, food-intolerances, etc.)
Sal is surprisingly healthy for a wastelander. He has his share of scars, because mercenary work and traveling across the country on foot isn’t easy, but nothing crippling or that causes him pain on the regular. Has all of his teeth and they’re in pretty good condition, too. He’s allergic to some specific kinds of wasteland drugs, mostly painkillers. But seeing as chems aren’t his thing and you’ll have to convince him to use a stimpak, it isn’t a problem.
15: Biggest and smallest short term goal?
Bruno has basically 0 ambition so goals aren’t something he even bothers setting. When he does, they tend to be very, very small and not entirely significant, like buying himself a new jacket, or a new mod for his favorite shotgun.
16: Biggest and smallest long term goal?
He does, however, have a long term goal, technically two. He wants to go back to New Orleans one day, to visit his nana. Does he plan for it? Is he saving some money for the trip back? Of course not. He also wants to visit his biological mother and his niece near Boston, but never does it, despite being close. He doesn’t resent his mother, but doesn’t like her, either, so while it is something he could do, it’d only happen if he was forced to do it, somehow.
21: Turn-ons? Turn-offs?
Sal is demisexual and as far as he knows heteroromantic, so talking about his turn-ons and turn-offs implies he’s close to someone already or very, very drunk and needy. When it comes to physical things, he tends to feel attracted by displays of power, in a way. Women who look like they can kick his ass are A+. It’s not a deal breaker, however.
He’s more of an ass man and he loves thighs/legs. Stockings/garter, skirts, dresses, anything that is equal amounts classy and sensual will get him going. Also one thing that is sexual but is Special for him and will put him in a loving, giving mood is a good old blowjob.
26: Do they have any plans for the future? Any contingency plans if things don’t workout?
He never plans ahead, and his few plans for the future (like visiting his mother) never get under way because he doesn’t care about them. He had this idea of settling down in the Commonwealth for a while, which means getting an actual place to live, but always finds another job and so he tells himself he doesn’t have time for that. He also hates the idea of being tied down to a place and missing opportunities elsewhere.
30: Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies)
The only disaster that could affect him would be the death of his nana, because he expects she will outlive him, being a ghoul. She is truly the only person he cares about, and knowing of her death would make him feel terrible for a while. He’d drink lots, blame himself for not visiting her while he could. It would either help him get his life together, because he’d try to be the man she always believed he could be, or it would ruin him for good.
33: Concept of home and family?
Family was the grandmother he was never allowed to call anything but “Nana”, and the children she raised alongside him. Family is watching your adopted siblings go because they are much older than you and being left alone with your distantly related ghoul grandmother in a tiny cabin a forty minute walk away from New Orleans. Home is tending the herb garden while listening to jazz, family is stories about a country no one else seems to know about. Home is windchimes and colorful handwoven rugs, hot tea and strange noises outside your window in the middle of the night. Home is cozy, home is scary, and he misses it dearly.
36: What makes them feel guilty?
Nothing! You can’t feel guilty if you never stop to think about your problems!
He feels guilty for being the piece of shit human he is. All he does is drink, kill things and waste his caps on things that won’t last him. He never helps anybody. He doesn’t like anybody. He doesn’t even have friends. And this was not what his grandmother raised him for. Deep down, he knows this, but at the end of the day, he has nothing to fight for. Nothing to believe in. He’s not looking for it, of course, and unless that lands on his lap (or in his arms, fit for carrying ladies, just putting it out there), it’s not happening.
42: How far did they get in formal education? What are their views on formal education vs self-education?
He got no formal education. He knows how to read and write, basics about most things, because his grandmother taught him everything she knew. She has plenty of experience raising kids, and hell no she won’t let a child she raised go about not knowing at least a tiny bit of everything. He knows even about the educational system that was in place before the war, and seeing as he’s met more than a few wasteland orphans who could use some basic instruction, he reckons it would be a good thing in post-apocalyptic United States. No idea how that could be done and he sure as hell won’t be the one looking around to make it work, of course.
47: How do they express love?
He’d be tempted to just express it with words, but he’s far too proud to allow himself that. He’ll be… Less so over time, as the relationship develops. He’s very romantic and big on spoiling his partners - the kind that brings little gifts, compliments, notices small things, gives you a nice massage at the end of the day. But he’s also a practical man, and will try to make himself useful. Unlike Kieran, however, he is far less invasive. He will not take over your tasks without asking you first, he’ll join in on whatever you are doing, wait for your directions and follow them to the best of his ability.
49: Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not?
Yes and no. He’s not afraid of dying, but he thinks it’d suck real bad. He doesn’t have a goal and doesn’t feel like he’s doing anything productive out of his life, so him dying isn’t terrible, but it’s not good, either. He’s “eh” about it.
