I have a theory that Hussie will update on the 16th, since that's when it went on hiatus last year. ~(‾▿‾~)

Oh, certainly, that’s a popular one. It’s weird, because the last update was on the 16th, but the Gigapause announcement was posted on the 17th. So… either date is viable, technically? We’d have to see.

And then, of course (assuming he does fall within his predictions this time, which, well, why shouldn’t he? The pages are pre-made, he just has to post them), there’s our third likely option: 10/25. The third anniversary of [S] Cascade.

(And to be completely fair, he often used to update on Halloween, so 10/31 is a fourth viable option which I hadn’t thought of until now.)

So there are our possibilities, really. 16th, 17th, 25th, 31st. “Mid or late October.” There is, of course, always the possibility that he will just post on an off date to avert our sheer volume of server hits somewhat (or screw with us), but past evidence suggests he’s just as vulnerable to the allure of arc dates as we are.

Bottom line, it’s fair to assume this will be the case, and he simply didn’t state date possibilities outright for the sole purpose of minimizing our hype levels (while still being informative). Which brings me to something I feel is important to say:

It’s likely unreasonable to ask us not to crash the servers, but I can ask this of you, fandom. Please don’t be impatient with Hussie when the updates resume. He is a very busy and stressed man who puts in a lot of hard work to make content for us to enjoy. He only has so many pages done, and plans to use them as a buffer while he works on the rest, so I honestly think we’d be lucky to get updates once a week. If it’s that frequent or more so, don’t hassle him to update faster. Be appreciative.
