Letters to Victoria

Dear Victoria,

I'm sorry I disappeared off the map for a little while. I'm sure I worried you greatly, but my mom wasn't doing well, and she was only allowed family to visits her. I know I should have messaged you more, at least let you know I was still alive and kicking.

I love you. God it feels weird writing that. Like it seems almost foreign after all this time, but it still holds true.

Before I left I realized you had left a sweater, and I'm sorry for keeping it, but it was the only thing I had left of you for the time being.

It smelled like you, but that didn't last long at all. Soon your sent faded and all that was left was the smell I was so accustomed to that it seemed scent less.

I miss cuddling you while I drift to sleep, and hearing your heart beat softly play my favourite tune in our chest. And the tickles of your breath reminding me you're always right next to me.
