The way that Tessa is struggling and uncertain about motherhood and she's so isolated--Evie can't comprehend how being a mother is difficult for her, and Del and Colton have their own young baby (plus Fern who speaks in riddles) to worry about.
The tragedy of Vic wanting so badly to be a father and hating that he has to go to work instead of spending all his time with Elliot and Tessa, and the tragedy of him seeing that Tessa is struggling, but not knowing what to do, looking for advice when even with the best advice Tessa is already past the point of needing a little friendly support.
And then there's Griff, who sees Tessa and was smitten from the moment he laid eyes on her, and he doesn't have the same commitments that the rest of them do, he's always wandered freely. He's the only one of them in a position to be there for her the way she needs, but he can't be there for her in a completely appropriate way. He's too in love with her and he's not her husband.
