This exquisite Victorian gown was worn by Elaine Cassidy as Katherine Weston in 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒆. But it may come as no surprise to our long-time followers that this costume has been around for quite a long time! It was spotted as early as 1974 when Susan Hampshire wore it as Lady Glencora Palliser in 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒔 before being worn in the 1988 sketch television show 𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒔𝒐𝒏, where it was worn by Emma Thompson’s character Emily Fortescue in the hilarious “Victorian Mouse” sketch.
