This weird thing is happening
If I go to YouTube, I can watch videos just fine, HD or not.
But EVERY other video or preview of video on the internet anywhere (phone posts to Tumblr or Twitter or even snippets from the news), looks like it’s zoomed in like 10x. If I mouse over the progression bar, I can see a thumbnail of whatever is happening in that video at that moment, but what I see on the screen is completely garbled pixelation.
I went to a Windows help forum, where about a metric ton of people said their computers started doing this after the latest update (I have automatic updates turned off) and the only answer given was a guy said he discovered totally by accident that down in the left corner of whatever video is playing there’s an icon that says AMD and if you click on it and turn it off, the videos go back to normal.
But there is nothing that says AMD. I know my laptop is getting old, but I’ve tried to keep it virus-protected and defragged and diskcleaned. It just started doing this about a week ago.
Please don’t tell me I’m going to have to buy a new laptop just to be able to watch videos again.
