Stratford Ct. 1-year anniversary compilation & Video Void - Delta Waves

Here we go guys, that’s my first post in a LONG time!

I had way too much personal stuff happening in my life to fairly keep DMCV going, but hey, let’s hope I’m back for good, as long as exciting music from talented artists will come out, I’ll share the love!

So today, i want to talk to you about Stratford Ct. (short for “Court”) a collective (or label, to be honest I don’t really know) bringing together talented people and releasing their music under its patronage. Props to the wide range of genre and artists featured on Stratford Ct., as anybody can coexist without interfering with one another. This musical eclecticism is pretty obvious in the Stratford Ct. one-year anniversary compilation, a little gem that came out last week. Featuring an impressive list of 27 songs by 27 different artists, the compilation covers a wide variety of different genres, from Nu Disco to Vaporwave and feels surprisingly homogeneous given the wide array of talented folks on it. Among them is an artist named Video Void, whom I had the privilege to meet at a gig of his a little while back. This talented Paris-based producer invites you for a journey in his new release : “Delta Waves”. Filled with heavy, old-school Funk influences and a pinch of quality synthwave, his new tune is quintessential to a vivid musical genre that I am grateful to share with you once again. Nous y voilà les gens, mon premier post après une LONGUE absence.

Dû à des raisons persos et pros, je n’ai pas pu m’occuper de DMCV comme je l’aurai voulu, mais espérons que mon retour soit permanent, ou tout du moins pérenne dans le temps!

Donc aujourd’hui je vais parler de Stratford Ct. , un collectif (ou un label, honnêtement, je n’en sais rien), qui regroupe tout un tas de personne et publie leur musique sous la signature Stratford Ct. Il est important de saluer la variété des artistes présent sur Stratford Ct., sans qu’aucun ne se sente lésé par rapport à un autre, un grand équilibre de genres et de sons sont publiés et mis en avant chaque semaine. Cet éclectisme musical est flagrant sur la compilation anniversaire des 1 an, une petite pépite musicale sortie la semaine dernière. Avec 27 sons de 27 artistes différents, la compil’ couvre une grande variété de genres musicaux, du Nu Disco au Vaporwave, en passant par la Chillwave et Synthwave. Et la très bonne surprise, c’est que tous cette variété d’influences diverse sonne curieusement homogène!

Parmi ces artistes se trouve un mec nommé Video Void, producteur parisien que j’ai eu la chance de rencontrer lors d’un show passé. Cet artiste talentueux présente sur son nouveau son “Delta Waves” un trip musical de haute volée. Blindé d’influence Funk old-school et d’une pincée de Synthwave de qualité, Delta Waves sonne comme la quintessence d’un genre musical hyperactif dont j’apprécie de partager les dignes représentants!
