Props/Materials:

____stage, ____curtains,  ____signs

____gloves, ____hat,  ____wand

____tomato, ____celery, ____mini vodka bottle, ____mini flowers to throw on stage, ____lime wedge

    [ INTRO ]

  (light ragtime style music in background?? I think it might be nice to have some light piano or something playing throughout or it may feel empty)

  ____Straight on shot of stage (or angled if we decide when shooting)

____Shows red curtain opening

____The “Hat Trick” sign rises out of the frame

  [ WITH HAT – “1” ]

  ____White gloved hands holding a wand emerge from the background over an empty stage

____A flick of the wand and the hat appears magically in the hands

____The hands set the hat open side down

____Hands gesture “1” and wave wand (with drumroll)

____Lift up the hat to see a tomato (audience gasps in awe)

  [ WITH HAT – “2” ]

  ____Hands place hat open side down again over the tomato

____Hands gesture “2”, with one more flick of the wand, lift up the hat (drumroll)

____Shows a tomato with a stick of celery leaned against it (audience oohs and ahs)

  [ FINAL HAT TRICK ]

  ____Hand taps its fingers in thought

____Hand waves, reveals mini vodka bottle

____Places it under the hat with veggies 

____Hand gestures “3” (drumroll) and one last tap of wand and lift of the hat

____A fully prepared bloody Mary is revealed from under the hat (audience cheers loudly and throws small flowers on the stage)

  [ OUTRO / END ]

  ____Lights go out, like at the theater, and spotlight comes on the bloody Mary 

____In the foreground the hands appear in front of the stage and form a “goalpost” 

____A lime wedge flies behind cameras point of view, through the “goalpost” and lands in the bloody Mary

____ Credits sign poofs into hands and everything disappears but the glass

____ Lights dim in theatre and hand reaches back through top of stage and grabs glass, for a celebratory post-show cocktail
