Wol x K.oana - I am fond of most Canon x WOL interactions. I wish we got to choose which claimant we got to go with arghghghghgghghghgh

E.renville x K.oana - Tbh, when we were presented with E.renville being childhood friends with the claimants I wish we'd gotten to see more of the K.oana and E.renville dynamic.

T.hancred x U.rianger x K.oana - Idk, in my own mild rewrites of D.awntrail they were school buddies rather than just some random dude.. Let me have the silly OT3.

Interested in potentially exploring:

K.oana / S.phene - I have nothing to put here other than exploring it seems neat. In a better expac we could have gotten a bit on Koana being able to make the case for Sphene cause Sphene is just bits and pieces of Koana's and Gulool Ja's view taken to a logical extreme.

NOtp's:

W.uk L.amat x K.oana - I RLLY HATE how much of a s.iscon the writing started making K.oana midway through the expac. It gave the vibe that Koana had more than complete brotherly feelings towards her and I just. No. Ick. Let's NOT.

M’firhi remembers at least two assassinations he’d had to perform on targets in vulnerable spots like this, but pushes those memories away and snorts softly.

“They hardly need the validation,” he mutters. “This is just petty.”

It can be a strategic move, but this was an elderly man. Whoever had killed him hardly needed to go to such lengths. This was purely an act of cruelty, a last humiliation to the poor sod.

“How many bodies is this, now?” he asks, turning away from the outhouse. There’s still one or two houses to comb through, yet. They’d come to this village looking for potential recruits to the resistance, but instead found a massacre. And a recent one, the bodies are still fresh.

They may be able to catch the trail of the perpetrators, if they’re lucky.

"Y'know, I never realized how not bein' able to dance would hurt so much." Her leg would heal with time, of course, but being stuck like this weighed on her spirit. The dancer sighed, fiddling with the end of the bandage.

She should have known what answering a call for adventurers from the Scions could result in. Death, she thought, may have been preferable; the thought of not being able to spin and prance like a fool was actually really depressing. Ah, but she was being silly, surely. It wasn't permanent, it wasn't the end of the world... it just made her heart hurt in a way she hadn't expected.

There is no greater nightmare for the living than being rendered incapable to do that which they love most. He had seen it, the encounter, and felt bitter that he arrived too late. If only he had come to her side a moment earlier, she would have been spared the brutal attack. Now here she sat, immobile and immeasurable regret visible in her face and it is no exaggeration at all that it’s a fault of his. He was responsible for her, this he knew.

"I'm sorry," he mumbled, low on his voice as though he did not want to be heard at all. It's not the worst fate there is, he made a point to convince himself. She’ll get better within time and recover just fine, he thought, yet it did not make the failure any less painful. It buried its pangs to the back of his nape. He could feel his own disappointment strangle him like a cord. "Rest. You've done all that you can. We'll take it from here."

Meiko knew better than to treat anyone, let alone Alisaie, like a child. But she was still young, and sometimes that showed. It was inevitable, and at times, almost a comfort. She didn't like that the twins' youth had been dedicated to fending off so much chaos, even if it was by choice.

"Ye can barely keep yer eyes open, Alisaie. Go lie down." She nudged the teen before she could protest. "And afore ye argue: Yer aether needs ye strong. Ye've done plenty already helpin' th'tempered. Rest for when we need ye again."

There was just far too much to deal with. The expedition to Garlemald proved to be an ordeal that she admittedly hadn't quite anticipated, and with the Tower of Babil suddenly emitting aether and tempering the unfortunate Garleans that didn't have a Warding Scale on them, there was just more and more piling up on the already exhausted child.

The cold certainly didn't help.

Alisaie remained behind as the Warrior of Light traveled to the Tower of Babil and immediately got to summoning Angelo to cure the tempered Garleans. Despite their prejudices towards them, and the initial hostile reception, she had started to grow warm towards Jullus, and seeing him in such a tragic state bore a heavy weight in her heart.

When Meiko had returned, she was still kneeling on the ground, the porxie absorbing aether by the second, but there was clear exhaustion in her face.

"... But this is the least I can do," Alisaie muttered, her expression solemn. "They need all the help we can give."

"Not 'xactly." Ruby hummed, recalling the chaos that was that run of 'I Want to be Your Canary' and the aftermath that followed. "I kinda fell into it out of necessity. I only ever thought about wantin' ta perform, but a girl's got ta eat."

She leaned forward on the table, taking a large gulp of her drink. The story always made her want to vent when she thought too long on it.

"Y'see I was helpin' my friends out with their show," a show that was secretly a kidnapping but she didn't need those details, "and due ta some extenuatin' circumstances the guys left me in Alexandria!" She groaned thinking back on that. She'd never been so frustrated, and a little scared. "I was so mad that they forgot me. Had them workin' a few shifts ta make it up ta me."

"Thankfully I made some fast friends who helped me put all this together! And I still get ta perform so it all worked out I guess!"

“Uh... Um... Well... I mean....” So what if there was no one that could relate to him more than ardbert? so what if he had been a sort of calm within the storm for him? it didn’t mean anything.
