Back when I was Hetalia trash. XD
For you Nyo!Vietnam shippers, you are allowed to say that he can miss any person/country that you desire (personally, I want to say that he's missing Spain /shot), but this is something of a little personal project to me really. The real reason why the title is "I miss you" is because... well, I'm home sick to put it bluntly. As some of your probably knew, I'm Vietnamese-American and I haven't been back to Vietnam for years now. There would be times that I would get this aches whenever I think about Vietnam along with my family and the people back at home. I left Vietnam at any early age when I was little but I usually visit it often during each summer vacation in my younger years. As I've gotten older, though, I haven't been back lately due to some money problems and the timing. I remember the fishing villages, the caves, the markets, and the cities in Vietnam-- though they're now rather faded. My best memory of Vietnam would be of the grandparent's house in the rainforest and I would remember fishing for small fishes in the streams using bamboo fishing poles (and accidently cutting my brother with my fishing hook on his finger-- don't ask). My grandfather has a beautiful garden at his house also with lots of vegetable and fruits and it was a lot of fun (though it took time to get used to-- my mother is very comfortable with it though) sleeping in hammocks and seeing the stars (or what I could through the jungle canopy). So, as you can see, I'm pretty home sick even if I can't exactly speak the language as good as a native speaker. Himaruya-sensei's Vietnam is the representative of that country and so I portray that sad but nostalgic look through Nyo!Vietnam (I could draw the female counterpart instead but I felt like I haven't drawn enough Viet-kun lately). The lotus is the nation's flower so I do want Viet-kun to look at it with remembrance to his people and his country. I wish I colored the lotus better though. Anyway, this is the first time I have ever drew and colored in this style for a long time. I'm actually proud of it but the lotus... but I still have a lot to learn in pertaining towards coloring. I can do a line art easily-- but coloring the line art has been a.....difficulty of mines. The skin tone might be too light though. I always ended up making the skin tone light... The line art shouldn't be as bolded too..... If you want to ask why Viet-kun's hair is brown-- well, first of all, originally his hair is supposed to be brown even if he's an Asian that I often portray as having black hair. But in reality, it's supposed to be brown >.> Gosh, I hope he doesn't look too much like Hong Kong....
It's Freeeezziiinngg!
Yo, I'm new here in tumblr, if that isn't obvious, but I'm just going to post my art here and see how this whole thing works. This system is a little bit more complicated than I'm use to, surprisingly, but I'll try my best! This is my first art post for this website! It's mostly going to be about Hetalia.
Generally, you could find most of my artwork on Deviantart.
I'll post the link in a later date *shrugs*.
The basic summary for this piece: I always imagine Viet-kun to be the favored big brother out of the three (four? If counting Thailand. I'm still confirming ages). Next to Japan, of course. So Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan decided that Viet-kun is not hopelessly lost in fashion (unlike China and Thailand apparently-- Japan is stylish in his own way so they have no complains. Look at his tokyo fashion! Thailand is pretty fashion himself but there are times I question his taste in t-shirts). In my headcanon, the three would be the Fashionable trio of the Chinese regions (seeing as Hong Kong is one of the fashion capitals, Taiwan being called The Beautiful Island and Macau with his Casinos and proper fashion statement) and they probably thought they're doing their 'aniki' a favor by dressing him up nicely XD. Or something like that. Viet-kun wouldn't know fashion even if it hits him in the butt. So they made a plan to go out with Viet-kun while he's dress nicely for once. Problem is; he doesn't really have any nice clothes other than the traditional ao gam. His clothes mostly consist of work clothes and a few suits (for meetings and such). Nothing, as Taiwan would describe it, 'casually cute' (Hong Kong: You mean casually fashionable. Not everything has to be cute. Taiwan: Says you! 'Cute' is the highest compliment there is!). Any clothes given to him from his siblings will be polite refused -especially from Taiwan ever since the Halloween incident (Viet-kun: I would just ruin them. It would seem a waste for me to have them since I won't wear them often. Taiwan gives me the most embarrassing clothes though...). It was then, as Taiwan was digging into Viet-kun's closet (don't ask), that the island nation found fashionable winter clothes from France himself (There's a note that said: Whenever you find yourself in my country again during the winter, mon ami, you should wear these. Don't throw them away! They're very warm and practical, yet follow the high trend of fashion at my house! Winter here in France is tres froid~ love France). So, the next day: Taiwan: Aniki! Let's go to Russia! Vietnam: Huh? Why? Taiwan: Me, Macau and Hong Kong never been there before! So you'll have to be our guide! Vietnam: They're going? And why me? Why not ask Russia? Or China? Taiwan: We don't know Mr. Russia like you do! And teacher does not like Russia that much! Vietnam: *mumbles* That didn't stop you before, when you go out a do things to make China uncomfortable... Taiwan: Stop being such a grumpy old man! You'll end up like teacher if you keep being cooped up in your country like an introvert! Vietnam: Oi.... Vietnam was ill-prepared for the trip, considering everyone else is already dressed a packed, so he has no choice but to take whatever France has given him to brave the winter air. That's pretty much the story
I love you Vietnam but you're so easy to tease. Copyrights to Hetalia goes to Himaruya.
