 Tsubaki found it hard to tear his eyes away from the woman’s weapon (though truthfully its wielder seemed just as odd and deserving of attention). It was new, it was interesting, and it was unknown. He didn’t really care for the unknown.

“I’ve never seen a weapon quite like yours before... can you tell me about it?” He leaned forward a bit, his weight shifted slightly into his own lance held tight. “I’d hate to see something so fearsome in battle without a little preparation.”

The blade was angled in such a way that it must be rather difficult to use against opponents. While this certainly meant that Rosalinde was quite skilled with her weapon of choice, Xander didn’t quite understand why she had chosen it in the first place.
