Judy didn’t even get to say a WORD. No, she had to stand there and listen to Angel yell at her. All because of a misunderstanding?
Then again, it put into perspective how many of those she really got into on a normal basis. She just couldn’t understand, WHAT was she saying to piss all these predators off? She was stating facts. Facts that had been given to her since she was a child. Views that practically the entire population shared, views that had been forced into her head.
She snaps out of that thought just as Angel is about to get up. She reaches back, easily about to grab her tranquilizer gun if needed. But it looks like it wasn’t, as Nilla was there and easily calmed her sister down.
But Judy was still a wreck. Mentally, at least.
Was she really about to grab her gun? Over a conversation like that? She hadn’t even gotten up from her chair and the lieutenant had so easily been quick to be the one to start the brawl. So quickly to shoot first and ask questions later - and even infront of her sister! What was WRONG with her? Her arms drop down to her side and she looks down and away from the two sisters. She wasn’t even sure what to say after that, what to think. Angel had almost risked her life to prove a point- Judy had seen how bad the shocks could get if the predators got to aggressive. She’s had a few arguments like this with Nick, at first she thought it was just him - trying to find a way out of his charge. Prove that he was innocent. But now Angel was saying things like that too.
Was she just making things worse, this whole time?
Angel’s voice snaps her back to reality, granted probably a solid minute after she had even spoke. In all that mess, she had forgotten what she even came here for. Was it case related? Was it personal? Did she just need to talk to someone? Either way, it was all down the drain now as the normally hardened and composed cop stuttered as she tried to find her words.
“Oh, um, nevermind about that. Sorry to have bothered you.”
Before she could make a bigger fool of herself, she decided to turn around and start walking towards the exit. The sooner she got out of here, the sooner she could get her head back on straight.
