Mushroom of the day: Amanita muscaria

Common name: Toadstool

Southern Slavic name: Muhara

Amazingly beautiful, and extremely poisonus, this mushroom is a central piece of most fairytale and fantasy scenes. This is one of the most famous mushroom in the world. It's vibrant red color and sticky white spots make it very interesting for animals and humas alike.

This mushroom is both poisonus and psychoactive. It's toxins work quick, and first symptoms appear after only two hours. Nausea, dizzines and sleepines are the most common ones. Hallucinations are also possible, but slightly rarer.

It's white spots can be washed out by rain, so it can be mistaken for it's edible counterpart. If you are in doubt whether or not you have eaten a poisonus mushroom, don't wait, seek medical attention immediately!

Hello world! Uzdravlje!

This is the second time that I’m making this blog. For some extremely stupid reason, tumblr has decided to delete my previous blog with the same name. 

I’m a 21 year old male witch from Bosnia. I have been interested in occult for some time now, and have been practicing for a year and a half. I took the name Vijestac, because in my language it literally means male witch. It also signifies one who is both wise and cunning, both things that I aspire to be. 

My blog’s name is The Witch Doctor. I only called it like that because, besides being a witch, I’m a third year medical student. 

I hope to meet a lot of new witch and practitioner friends here on tumblr, so I hope that If you are one, you will reblog this post, so that I can follow you back.
