This is actually the plan! Bringing the kitties something that smells like them ahead of time ought to help, at least I hope.

Although I hadn't thought of a pillowcase, that's a really good idea. I was going to ask them for an article of clothing, but their wardrobe is a little limited; I considered buying them a shirt, but that felt weird. Bringing a pillowcase with me the next time I visit is the perfect solution, and I have plenty of spares.

Just reading Lady and the tiger and got an add for “House of Horse Helsinki” brand 😹

You know, I was looking at the site thinking "Well, this is some nice looking clothing, shame they don't have a men's side, I couldn't afford it but I'd take notes" and then I saw they have a "for horses" and a "for dogs" section and I realized this is horse girl streetwear. Delightful.

I'm torn because on the one hand Ofelia is a very serious woman in a very important job, but on the other hand I feel like as Duchess of the Horse she might have like, leaned into the peerage thing a bit and picked up this brand for casual/athletic wear. Probably on Alanna's recommendation, this is the kind of sporty-high-femme look Alanna rocked a lot in her twenties.
