Are you familiar with the Warhammer mythology or whatnot? I've been playing the Geheimnisnacht mod for Crusader Kings 2 lately and Vampires do have an Egyptian origin.

EVERYTHING i know about warhammer 40K comes from 1. the Ciaphas Cain books and 2. watching a former roommate go slowly insane painting the nipple spikes of like 5 gajillion tiny elves.But it doesn’t surprise me that their vamps are Egyptian- the oldest bloodsucker lore goes back to Egypt, but those ones sucked blood using hollow tongues, which is kid of awesome.
