Has anyone else noticed how sad Ivar looks like? It happens after Ubbe and Margrethe are pronounced as man and wife. Poor man, he thinks marriage is not for him.

I think I figured out why I hate so much the way they assassinated Lagertha’s character this season. For a long time she seemed she moved past losing Ragnar and Kattegat. And suddenly we find out that she was full of hate and planned her revenge all this time. She kills Aslaug shooting her in the back with an arrow after she gave her some hope. I found that quite undignifying. That’s far from the strong, independent woman I knew.

But what really pisses me off about this change is how this fake Lagertha blames solely Aslaug for ‘taking away’ her husband. “You're a witch, you bewitched him.” I heard this idea so many times, from my own mother too, and it makes my blood boil. That when a man is cheating, the woman he’s cheating with is guilty, while he is a victim. The homewrecker and the poor guy who couldn’t resist her advances. It’s stupid and misogynistic! It infuriates me to see how a man is excused and a woman is accused for the same act they both participate in. And to see Lagertha having the same wrong, stupid and misogynistic opinion, that’s too much for me.

I’m so sick of writers and producers destroying their stories.
