Just like Alex did recently, Alicia Agneson (Freydis/Katya) did an instagram live on the channel of HBONordic. She watched the fifth episode of season 6. Here are the things that I found interesting:
She thought it was amazing to play Freydis and Katya, even though they both are very different. She said they were both beautiful in their own way. And she can't decide who she enjoyed playing the most. She said Freydis had a beautiful story, and she described Katya as feisty. We will see evidence of that in season 6B.
She loved the costumes and misses Katya’s outfits.
A fan asked her: "Who is the best husband? Ivar or Oleg?" She laughed at first and said it was hard to choose. But eventually she said: "Oleg gives things that Ivar can't (chuckle)"
The scene in which Freydis asks where baby Baldur is, was a scene that broke her heart a little bit. She thought it was a sad scene.
When someone asked: “What’s the link between Freydis and Katya?” Alicia smiled and shrugged her shoulders: “That’s the question.”
She remembers when Marco shot the scenes where Hvitserk was drugged (with the bloodshot eyes, and the hair down, …) She met him around 4 or 5 am on set. His make-up was already done, but he hadn’t put on his costume yet. So she got a little bit of a scare when she saw him. She didn’t think it was for a scene and was concerned for his health. Marco, being the joker, said: “Yeah, I just didn’t sleep well”
When she was asked who the funniest one was (Marco or Alex) she said they are incredibly funny when they are together.
She says that the fans are going to love the end of season 6. In fact, she cried a bit while reading the script.
When someone asked her if Alex is a good kisser, she smiled and said: "Well, I am not going to disappoint you, yes he is”
She showed two things that she got to keep from the show. The first is the wedding ring that Katya got from Oleg. (Which she actually wears!) And the second thing is the hair extensions for Katya's hair.
Her favourite location was the great hall of Russia
She can’t speak Russian, but she wishes she could.
She said it was weird to be back on the show as a different character. She found it strange when they asked her back as Katya. But it was fun, she was happy to be back. When she left the show as Freydis, she was content. She thought that it was time for Freydis to leave.
She mentioned that she cried many times because of Vikings. In many different ways: out of happiness, out of sadness. Inside and outside the show.
Her favourite scene as Katya was the last scene she shot as her, which she couldn't tell much about since it's a scene in 6B. But she said it’s a beautiful scene.
Her favourite scene as Freydis is the one where she yelled at Ivar and asked him where her baby was.
She said her death scene (as Freydis) was hard to film. Since normally, you can decide how hard you get strangled. But when they shot the scene she didn't feel it, so she gave Alex permission to really pull on the cord. She said there were some moments where she actually thought she would faint.
She mentioned that the hardest part in Freydis' death scene wasn't the choking, but playing dead. Because when you struggle for breath, your body's reaction is to take a deep breath. But she had to hold that back, because the scene wasn’t over yet.
When she got asked if she and Marco were dating, she said no and said that Marco has a lovely girlfriend. And she has a lovely boyfriend.
Alicia says that we can expect sadness, deaths, farewells, true and pure love and some sexual scenes in season 6B.
