He’s just like, such a caring dude!! He took in Xavier right after his town got destroyed and his wife died and the poor guy was just a ball of ptsd because he saw him and felt like he had to take care of him. And he went through the really hard and long process of helping Xavier through it even though he’s horrible at dealing with peoples emotions because he just cared so much.
Throughout the story he’s the one adopting people left and right like you’ve got issues and no place to live? He’s got a room in the (way overpopulated at this point) house for you, he’ll take care of u even tho he’s really bad at it. He’s gotten three kids and two husbands because of this and I love him
