“I’ve been trekking through the forest for 6 years, but there are still parts of this place completely undiscovered. Did you know that just 10 minutes into walking about, you’ll encounter over 50 species of flora and fauna? And oh, don’t even get me started on the wildlife. This one time I was about to take a picture of a mushroom growing on a fallen tree, and I heard a shuffling behind me. There was a wild boar looking straight at me and then at the mushroom. That was pretty amazing as far as human and animal communication goes. It wasn’t just the boars though; I’ve had interesting encounters with chameleons, slender lorises, venomous snakes and even butterflies. A Tailed Jay once led me to a lovely spot off the beaten path and I could have sworn that was his intention all along.”
