I wonder if Tori is some flavor of genderqueer. I get that the Hephaestus misdirection is deliberate, but she gets "he"d so automatically and consistently, and never seems to get a twinge of discomfort from it. Add in that when she went to Magical Halloween Town she not once, but twice, costumed herself as male characters without missing a step...

(Doylistically it's almost certainly a matter of a cis author who hasn't contemplated what gender means to his characters, but Watsonianly, I have to wonder.)

I really really hope everyone who wants more family shenanigans in their hero/villain stories is reading the Villains’ Code series by Drew Hayes, because there’s a whole plotline going on in this second book about the world’s most powerful hero and villain having to co-lead a Scouts troop because the villain beat the shit out of the previous leader for being a bigot towards the villain’s daughter.

Wanted to document/post my headcanons for the Villains Code series that I’ve been tossing about in my head for a while

No major spoilers but it does include characters/details from the most recent books

- Tori is %100 aroace all the way

- The different versions of Tori throughout the multiverse are either aroace or lesbians

- Bisexual Beverlyyyy

- Warren and Lance (Glyph and Pest Control) are so gay for each other

- Thuggernaut and J3D definitely have something going on there

- Elya from Vignettes is a trans woman

- Elya and Pearle are also so gay for each other (cmon. You can’t tell me that Drew isn’t setting up something there)

- Chloe x Ellie 👀👀 (cmon guys imagine the potential)
