Heart, absolutely. The whole reason why Dante got sent on this mission in the first place is because they felt they had to do something about the Antaam captives. Besides, they know all too well what being a captive feels like.

The Hanged Man: What does Rook do when their hard work doesn't pay off? How do they cope with failure?

Figure out what went wrong, decide on what to do to fix things, then move on. Dante doesn’t dwell on the past; whatever happens, happens. As long as they’re still alive, they count themselves lucky.

That is, until the events of the game begin and Dante is suddenly burdened with the weight of the world on their shoulders. Their approach remains the same but the baggage of regret is heavy. Talking to Varric for advice helps, somewhat (😔).

just want to say i appreciate your enthusiasm for the little things. i share your interest in all the day to day life, natural history, etc aspects of the world and the lore but do not have the capacity to compile and deep dive the way you do, so thank you for every hyper specific post about dragon age you've ever made, sincerely.

Oh goodness, thank you! I'm glad they are able to be of some use to others aside from me. I'm also happy to hear you enjoy them! Thank you for your support and kind words, I hope you will find future compilations enjoyable too. I can guarantee I will lose the plot of Veilguard because there is a whole new area of the world to explore, and I will yell about it.
