Drove 5 hours to get these dudes to a sanctuary 😵 they’re very rare birds in the pet trade especially in the Washington area, these two are old and totally untame so I figured life in a aviary would be the best fit 😛 they still have to get checked out by an avian vet before commingling in the big boy flight areas but I think they’re already excited 🤗
A Vinaceous Greeting!
Here's a little snip-it of our only pair of Vinaceous Amazon parrots. Unfortunately these guys are on the IUCN list of endangered animals. Their populations in South America are depleting. RSCF just wanted to share a little visual so everyone can see how pretty they are.
