LOCATION: Vincent’s Garage WHO: @thexcarrollxtimes
Davin stood in the middle of the garage with his hands shoved into the pockets of his jacket and a grin he was doing a terrible job of hiding. A large tarp-covered shape sat behind him, taking up most of the space, and every few seconds his eyes drifted toward it like he was struggling to keep the surprise to himself. The second Vinny walked in, Davin pointed toward it. "Before you say anything, I want you to know this was a very responsible purchase," he announced with enough confidence to make it immediately obvious it probably wasn't.
Without waiting any longer, he grabbed the tarp and yanked it free, revealing a worn but beautiful 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray. The paint was faded, the interior needed work, and it definitely hadn't seen the road in years, but the bones were there. "Happy early or late birthday. When is it again?" Davin folded his arms across his chest, looking far too pleased with himself. "I figured, I may not have been the best house guest.” He didn’t want to recount all the things he had messed up in the house. "And before you complain,” he rolled his eyes. “It was my decision. You deserve something nice and I thought maybe you could teach me your passion for mechanics.”
