@vindarslio mentioned you in a post “ (I PROMISE I'LL ACTUALLY RESPOND TO THIS ONE AND NOT LOSE IT)”
The rain season had…The rain season had hit just in time for them to have finished the most important of their construction plans, and Shura couldn’t help the small swelling of pride in his chest as he watched his dream visualize in front of him.
Kohga wasn’t even halfway there in completion, but the village was getting bigger. More people came to settle down, and income in trading had turned out to be a success.
With a tired smile, the former ninja watched as the rain poured from the sky, but behind that, his home was being rebuilt. A dream he had never thought would ever happen.
Though, a sudden flash of teal caught him by surprise, and the man that colour belonged to surprised him even more. Walter? But what in the world was he doing in Kohga? And out in the pouring rain like that?
Heading out to the porch, he called out for the other man.
“Walter? Walter! Over here!” Shura didn’t wait for the other to reach, however, and waltz into the downpour, gently taking his arm. “Hey, it’s me”
Walter was so embarrassed! He had planned this trip out for weeks, yet it just seemed for it to be his luck for everything to go wrong at the last minute.
The small carriage he’d taken to make the long trip from Nohr to Kohga had broken a wheel just a few miles away. Though he really shouldn’t have been walking on his bad leg for so long, he was certain he could get there in an hour’s time or so while repairs were being made. But the, the rain started.
He was soaked through and through, his loose robes plastered to his thin, shivering body as he came to greet Shura. “I... I... I’m sorry...” he apologized just by reflex, frowning as Shura went and got himself soaked in order to help him along. “I-I-I really should have -- should have t-told you that I -- that I was c-coming... I w-wanted to -- wanted to s... surprise you...”
