Since @callistochan87​ did up a design for the character she said she would do, I figure I’d do up his design real quick, because I am overeager about these things.  ;P  But since I also tweeked other designs, I figured I’d put them up as well.

The main reason Astrid gets an update is because I decided to give her twin buns, I guess?  I just wanted to get her a more ‘Black” hairstyle, and figure this is probably something she could throw up real quick, although I’m not sure how accurate they look with how her hair really is.  And then I put her wavy hair on her civilian form, because I liked it, and it looks better.  I was surprised at how well I like the buns on Frostbite, and it hides her identity more.  (Except, since she’s a member of the Guide, so identity is public knowledge, so...pointless.)

Obviously the next character is the new character, who I decided is Storm King real name Felix.  I really like the archery angel @callistochan87 went with, since its not at all what I was thinking.  I also liked the design - simple but effective.  I added the compression shirt because she mentioned it, and gave him different pants to fit in with the others, and make it a little more professional.  I had already decided a while ago that he was going to be another Black character, because diversity.  Oh, and @callistochan87 mentioned using a lower-face mask instead of a domino mask, which is something I was thinking about.  So I have him a neck-gaiter, and it works surprisingly well!  I just...can’t draw it right.  ^^;

I also changed Vine Guy’s design.  I noticed some merchandisers at work wearing shorts with compression pants under them, and I thought it would be something Ethan would do, honestly.  Then I also made his jacket more...generic.  But the big thing was giving him a lower face mask as well, because he is lazy and would probably just slap this on because it’s easier or something.  ;P  Probably makes more sense, since some of the plants he works with might prove hazardous to breath in or something (at least it’d keep him breathing in pollen to a minimum.)

I’ll probably continue to mess with these as I get other ideas, but it is nice to have all the major and major-minor characters designed.  :D

Just found out Thomas Sanders has a Tumblr account and I'm gonna add that to my list of people-i-did-not-expect-to-be-on-tumblr-but-in-hindsight-it-makes-sense which only has one other person: Neil Gaiman

Edit: Archer guy that's on YouTube is also on Tumblr. That's neat. That's also no.3 on my list.

So....uh, @callistochan87 had a dream the other day that I asked her to elaborate on through Twitter, and ho boy, did it really attack my muse. >.< I feel really bad taking the idea, but as soon as I read what the dream was about, I started having visions in my head to involve it in Cataclysm, and then she mentioned that the 'main character' was 'Nova', and just...I was done.

I think the problem was that I didn't really have anything for Book 2. I mean, I have a general plot - the Guild dealing with the villains teaming up as well as Nova dealing with her two hero lives - but nothing substantial. Reading about an unassuming psychiatrist/therapist turning out to be a secret villain just...yeah. My muse when nuts with the idea.

I mean, I suppose this makes this spoilery, but considering this is based off a dream my only reader had, uh...not much of one, since she gave away the plot twist, lol.

So...his name is Simon Harwell, and he's a supposedly powerless therapist working in the Guild. Nova sort of runs into him a couple of times while walking around the Headquarters, and the two strike up a friendship. This worries Gabe, actually, because Connor points out that Nova might be about to identify more with Simon because he also didn't have powers when he was younger. (Nova, of course, would never love anyone other than Gabe).

Of course, as it turns out, Simon does have a power, a dangerous one, and is a follower of Professor Calamity's philosophies that the Guild shouldn't exist, and those with superior powers should be ruling over those with lessor powers. Yes, he infiltrated the Guild to start to tear it down from the inside. Nova is the one who discovers this, because he unleashes his powers in her presence. I just haven't decided if its in front of Cosmic Star or Swift Star (although leaning towards Cosmic Star because of the flight fighting in the dream.)

Now, I think @callistochan87 has basically washed her hands of this after explaining the dream. But she mentioned that the guy was 'her ideal', and I do sort of want to keep with that, since I am using her dream, if that makes sense. But this is more or less immediately what I saw - a dark haired professional looking hipster with oversized glasses, and, well, a sweater. I made sure of make the sweater blue because....@callistochan87. ;P I do actually like the way he turned out, so hopefully this is close enough to her aesthetic.

(I was thinking about making his opposite of Gabe, since he's his 'rival'. but the opposite of Gabe is Nova's appearance, and that would be...weird.)

And since I don't really like to just put up one design picture, I decided to go ahead and do up Ethan's book 2 uniform. (I had something earlier, but I decided I didn't like it.) The idea i had with Ethan all along was that he was going to start taking his job way more seriously after Cosmic Star complimented him on his powers during the main fight. And if he's taking it more seriously, he'd get himself an actual uniform.

I really like this. Which is good, because I do really like Ethan. ;P

So yeah, just two randomass Cataclysm designs, just because. ^^;
