A day of "work" today meant leaving my winery and heading to my girlfriend's winery to taste through library wines for an upcoming barrel tasting event.
In addition to the wines, we sampled a glimpse of what Kumi had in store for the menu. Years ago, during my cross country move to Portland, I stood in a little yellow house in Tucson and met Kumi. The tumblground railroad never fails and I immediately thought of her and the amazing culinary work she's doing now in Portland, and suggested her to Talia for the event...come to find out that Talia had been stalking her blog for months and was instantly sold on the prospect of branching out to "aggressive Indian/Mexican fusion".
What a wonderfully small world we've created here.
