I am confusion??

Ok but, does the electoral map from the Santos/Vinick election bother anyone else? Like, in what alternate universe do California and Vermont go red, at least in the 2000s? And Texas going blue? I understand that CA and TX went for their representatives, but it seems unrealistic that these states would go that way even in this scenario with how polarized the states are politically. Also, losing Florida, Ohio, and Cali and still winning is virtually unheard of. Thoughts??

I really wish that The West Wing had shown the Vinick Administration -- even if it were just a year.

Don't get me wrong, I love Santos and the other main characters, but a Vinick presidency would have been really interesting.

A large chunk of his own party would be opposed to him since he's pro-choice and all that. It would have made for some really interesting story-lines -- the Democrats are predisposed to not liking him while parts of the GOP hate him.

Great episodes would have been created. Plus, episodes could switch back from the White House to Congress since a Vinick presidency would require a lot of compromises!

It's because of that even if I want Santos to win, I think Vinick and Sheila would work way better together than Santos and Josh
