The gorgeous new Vintage 21 collection of modern classics, a series to celebrate Random House's imprint Vintage's 21st birthday, came in to the shop where I work today and I (of course) immediately put them into rainbow order while pricing them and sneakily snapped some pics! They are ridiculously beautiful and I want them ALL.

There is in fact a competition to win all of them, but I can't enter because I work for a bookseller :( (so if anyone wants to enter for me, that would be lovely).

There are quite a few awesome lady authors included, which is nice, but my only quibble is that they put The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood in pink. Yep, they put a brilliant piece of feminist literature in pink. For the irony maybe? WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE PINK?!

But anyway, look how pretty the books are!!

In Spring of 2003, Vintage21 Church in Raleigh, NC had a four week series on Jesus Christ, taking a deeper look at what He said and did. It was difficult at times to get past our preconceived notions that had been developed by staunch, starched Sunday School classes of old. This is a satirical look at what some people think Jesus is like. Thank goodness He's not. These still make me laugh out loud. However, the only reason I posted this was because of the 50 second mark, with today being Super Bowl Sunday and all.
