It’s this time of year for these kind of cups! Made in Japan in the 1930s, this is a rare set of Fruit Harvest demitasse cups that feature the prettiest combination of Fall color. Peach, pumpkin, nutmeg, sage, butter and cinnamon - this palette hints at cool autumn mornings and frost kissed ground covers. Of vistas that change color before your eyes as the sun changes direction in the sky. Of landscapes that turn from grey to beige to gold to smoky blue as the day turns from morning to afternoon to night. In the 1960s, this is how you started your day! With your bachelor button cups that were big enough to accommodate coffee or tea, the choice was up to you. Made by Taylor Smith Taylor for their modern Versatile dish line, these cups are chubbier than your typical vintage teacup, providing a less dainty vessel. Perhaps when they decorated them with bachelor button flowers they were thinking of the guys who might appreciate a more substantial morning ritual.
