The history of #burlesque is always on topic at @burlesquehall ! #Repost @burlesquehall with @get_repost ・・・ Coralie Jnr was the Hollywood Agent for Burlesque and a breakthrough for African American performers in the late 1950’s. She had over 500 women of colour on her books including living Legend Toni Elling who said ‘she fought for a lot of us girls and it could be rough in certain venues if you were black back then’ . Coralie sought to battle the 'book white ’ burlesque ethic and was interviewed by board member @neilnezkendall in 2014 shortly before her death .
