Spent another couple of hours on this LinnDrum to solve an issue with the Ride cymbal sound triggering twice each time... 😪 . And found the fourth dead logic chip in this unit: after two LS74 dual D-type FF and one HC393 dual 4-bit binary counter yesterday, there was also a bad LS138 3-to-8 decoder today... 😢 . ERRR... 😰😰😰 . Looks like it's time for a change of rechargeable battery (this is the 1982 original one!)... and a thorough cleaning of nearby tracks & pads too! LinnDrum's PSU wholly rebuilt: DRM board supply section as well as the smaller, and badly oxydized "SUB5VSR" PCB. Now that the oxydization has been removed more or less 80-90%, +5V TTL supply's 3A current flows much easier than before.
