Some thoughts on Vinterlyd 3
Hafjell!
These days were amazing, no doubt whatsoever. We travelled early the day before our first show by flight and taxi as usual, which is kind of fun and relaxing. Especially since we are such good friends, and nothing gets boring when we are together.
When we arrived at the hotel the very same day, there were at least 15 people, fans, waiting just for us. That was so cool! A few of them actually gave us a lot of candy and some gifts; such as T-shirts and some more cool things.
Easter is always awesome! We didn’t have a lot to do the first day. The only thing we did was singing our songs, over and over again. We did walk around the hotel though. Searching for cool stuff to do. They had a gym and a pool! Which was great! We went there every single day!
The first concert was so much fun. We performed 4 songs, and our “Right Now” dance. When we got back to the hotel after the gig, we hung with some of the other artists. We played and sung at the piano bar, which was awesome! And we talked about our career and our future, etc.
The second concert was just as much fun as the first. Not to mention the other artists. They were outstanding! No dubt. We gather a lot of inspiration from other artists, such as Eric og Kriss and OnklP. They are great artists indeed.
The last concert was also great, as usual! We performed our three singles and one acoustic, original song. I also went on skiing for the first time. That was hilarious! You could compare me with a monkey. The monkey would probably have just a tiny bit more skills than me at skiing.
Saying goodbye to all the artists and those who were a part of the tour, was hard. We had so much fun together. And we do hope we can work together someday in the future! We appreciate everything you guys from kreftforeningen, P4 and those who were involved, did for us, throughout the whole tour. Thank you for everything. We love you all!

Some thoughts on Vinterlyd 2
Last week of the Vinterlyd tour. (Put aside Hafell) I woke up very early. I had difficulty sleeping the day before, because I was incredibly excited. Bergen, my hometown. What more can I say?
Earlier the same day, we had a contest with two of the other artists on the tour. Marcus and Martinus. The goal was to collect as much money as possible within 45 minutes. We actually won, but Marcus and Martinus got some extra help after the competition was over. However, the money went to a very good cause!
After the contest, we did our sound check. Which went well, as always. We spent the rest of the hours before the concert, practicing through certain motions. In addition, some warm-up methods, in order to prepare up our vocals properly. We also drank a lot of tea with citron/lemon.
Just a minute before we were heading onto the stage, I took a big breath. The feeling of being on the stage is amazing, indescribable. I stood still a few seconds, and I just let the moment sink in. That exact moment must have been the best moment I have ever had. It was then; I realized why I am doing what I am doing.
When we were done, we had to leave backstage relatively fast. Because it was very windy, and not particularly good weather. Other than the bad weather, this Monday was without any doubt, incredible. I went home later in the evening.
We only had a day off from the music, before we were heading directly to Trondheim. Trondheim was very fun! Nearly 17,000 people showed up during the concert, and for such a good cause. It was a great honor, standing on that stage. Not just because of all the people, but also because my family is originally from Trondheim. Which meant a lot to me personally. The crowd in Trondheim was outstanding. Just like Bergen!
Last stop, Tromsø. No doubt one of the coldest cities in Norway. It was a cold Saturday indeed. However, I have to say that Tromsø is a very beautiful city. Everything is so local and close to each other. The concert went all right, and the crowd was amazing as always! The other artists did a very good job as well. The spirit is always there!
Later the same day, after the concert, we had a big dinner together with the rest of the artists, Kreftforreningen, P4, the organizers and all the others who were a part of the tour. I had such a great time overall! I wish that the tour had never ended. By the way, the seafood you get in Tromsø is delicious!
Next stop is Hafjell. I hope to see you all there. I cannot wait!

Some thoughts from Vinterlyd Tour
This week has mainly consisted of rehearsals for the Vinterlyd shows, and of course the first Vinterlyd show in Oslo. Monday we met at my place and rehearsed the choreography for one of the songs. This is actually the first time we’re doing a dance routine on stage. Laurent has got tons of experience from dancing, and he’s a good teacher for Alex and me. We also practiced on both our performance and vocals in the studio on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday we had to pack what we needed and prepare for departure to Oslo. As always I packed my stuff in the last minute, so that was kind of stressful… Haha. When we checked in at the hotel in Oslo we were all really excited about the first Vinterlyd show the next day, so we had an early night. The breakfast at the hotel next morning was heavenly by the way! When we arrived at the venue for a sound check there were already fans waiting by the stage. We heard some rumors that they had been there since 6 am. That’s crazy!
Anyway, the show went well, and the crowd was amazing. Over 10,000 people showed up to support the fight against cancer, which is incredible. We are really honored to be a part of this great tour supporting such a good cause.
After the show we met up with some fans that had won a meet and greet contest, before we went back to the hotel to have some dinner. Sunday we just relaxed and ate some dinner at a restaurant in Oslo, making sure our voices were in good shape for the show in Gjøvik the day after. A great start of the Vinterlyd tour, and we’re really excited about the rest of the shows!
Lots of love
Sander
