Phi Kappa members were knows as Skulls & the fraternity was known as the Skull house. Founded in 1850 at the University of Pennsylvania by Dr Samuel Brown Wylie Mitchell, who was an outstanding member of the Masons. The University frowned upon organizations like this so the fraternity operated at a clandestine level. Very uncommon to find vintage Phi Kappa Sigma pieces like this.
