Going around the castle was fun, especially when everything seemed in order, there was peace and quiet... but Peri didn’t like it. Xander had been easygoing with his duties, which meant there weren’t anyone to kill for him, as much as she’d like to. However, sooner or later, something would come up, which gave her hope...

While thinking about how to handle her next victim, she almost stumbled upon another person. Quickly, she took out a weapon, her safety knife, but was glad to see no enemy stood in front of her, but... well, someone. “Ah, I don’t think I’ve seen you around.” She gave this person a smile, as she kept holding the knife. “You must be...” she stops... were they new? They couldn’t be, right?

“Just who are you?” she asks, raising an eyebrow. “You...” she sniffs, “you smell of death. I’ve heard that’s something that is very concerning... but I don’t mind!”

Hunter meets hunter

Peri walked around the Nohrian castle, thankful that Xander wasn’t in need of her services. Of course, she’d prefer at any time to be killing people, instead of trying to find ways to kill her time. In her hand, she held a knife, carelessly playing with it, throwing it from one side of her hand to the other... This was her self defense weapon, inside the castle (As, apparently, carrying around your weapon around the castle was seen as bad. She never understood why), and it made her feel safe... ready.

On a slight, wrong movement, the knife went to stop stabbing the floor, inches away from a furry, long tail. “Yikes” was her initial response, but she giggled. “A couple of inches away could’ve been a couple of inches off your tail.” She seems excited to mention this. “Something I would’ve preferred much more” she mutters, to herself.

“I didn’t catch your name, did I?” She bends to the front, picking up her knife, as she went back to play with it, this time, without looking. “You’re one of those... furry guys. Kit-sun-ays.” Peri had barely heard of them, but knew that one of those was in the army at Nohr. “I’m a human, but you know that already. I’d kill to have your claws, though.”

Bookshelves

@tomexthief asked for a starter so I tried to deliver

Certainly, entering a place like that was anything but familiar to Peri. Sure, she had one back in her mansion, when she lived there, but it didn’t take long for the books to become dusty and unworthy to even look at. Her mom seemed to like it, another reason why she never wanted to enter, and her father didn’t usually go inside, especially with all the mess the servants refused to clean. Perhaps they, too, disliked the aura their lady had left behind.

This library wasn’t her own, though, and the books, albeit old, seemed to be in great shape, and she didn’t feel the need to sneeze when she touched them, pulled them to her, opened them and then put them back in the general position they were. Eventually, the only book that managed to find its way into her hands for more than seconds was a kids’ book. It had a cute drawing of a lion on the cover, too!

The sound of a book falling nearby seemed to startle her for a bit, as she quickly turned to meet a person who was accompanying her. “What’cha doing there? Stealing?” That was her first thought, at least. “You know. I always wanted to see how it was to cut a thief’s hands, or burn them!”

Pegasus are just Horse Wyverns

A starter for the lovely @adamantflier in hopes they can get the message and admit they’re cool people.

Peri usually didn’t end up in these kind of situations, where she had to face a creature of unknown capabilities and... proportions! It looked like Cute in the way their snout and legs were, but the wings... the wings made it even more threatening, even as it seemed to flap them slightly. She helf a knife in front of her and was ready to retaliate against the creature if it even dared to face her...

Xander definitely didn’t mention flying horses to her, and this was the first time she had seen one in action. Personally, she was more used to black horses, given that they had more resilience and resistance to the cold, important when it came to staying underground, she believed.

The weird horse twitched slightly, as Peri let out a threatful swing of her knife in response. It didn’t hit it, but it certainly left a message hanging in the air.

Encounter with a maniac

A starter for @fangedfate the kind dragon boy.

War with Hoshido seemed to loom closer as the armies of Nohr began to practice even more dutifully, Prince Xander had placed upon his retainers to follow him wherever the war might lead them. Peri didn’t care for political reasoning behind the war, not even about Hoshidans, but she was happy to serve him and practice to become stronger. And yet, when there was no missions to be done, she could afford to be a more sweet self, indulging in the kitchen.

With gloved hands, she took out a pie, placing it in the window before she stood in front of it, looking at it. She took a deep whiff of the pie, feeling the correct amount of cinnamon, apple, an inch of salt, sugar, pear... It seemed to have worked, and while it was far from sour, it wasn’t as sweet as to push Xander away with its mere presence. Peri was proud of her creation, but it wasn’t yet ready to face her liege, maybe an innocent bystander sufficed.

Her eyes shifted across the window, until they met with the figure of a familiar face, widening in surprise. A hand moved quickly towards the window, opened it further and she put her head outside. “Hey, dragon boy!” she called. “Wanna try this pie?”

Arriving early (Open)

She wasn’t supposed to open the place just yet. It opened in an hour, but of course, she had nothing else to do that day but wait for the usual Anger Management reunion. Today was going to be a special topic, thinking about loved ones! Of course, the ones without friends and family were advised, in case they didn’t feel like they’d belong, yet...

She taped a sign on the old door a few could call “the entrance to a safe space”, she had asked one of her servants to write it down for her, and she believed it read: “Today: Speaking about loved ones”, but she didn’t know for sure, the only word she could read well was “love”. With a proud smile, Peri backed away to look at the sign.

She felt a presence behind her, and quickly took out her knife and turned around, but once she saw the person, she didn’t exactly feel threatened. “Oh!” she said, smiling. “Did you come to a VILE meeting?” She traced the letters of the word with a finger. “I’m just opening up, but if you’d like to enter, you have to help me arrange the chairs! Who knows how many people will come!”

Seeking Help (Open Starter)

If there was one thing that Peri liked doing was being the Boss... of her Anger Management group, that is. VILE (Which stands for Violent Individuals Looking for Ease) was full that day, which wasn’t unusual. The common attendees were there, as they waved at Peri when she entered the room. 

Once she had entered, everyone began moving to their seats, arranged in a big circle around the room, leaving an empty space with a rotating chair in the middle, where Peri took her seat. While the place seemed like it was about to collapse, it represented a safe space for these people, to relieve their stress, anger, sadness... in a healthy way!

“Alright, I just want to look at everyone here”, she began. “Bobby, good to see you back. Alessa! How’s the slammer going?” Both of these people gave hearty laughs. The girl, known as Alessa, gave Peri a thumbs up. “Great! Now, before we begin... I think we have a new face around here~?”

She gestures towards the new person, which Peri identified because they were sitting the closest to the door. Everyone began cheering for the person, forcing them out of their seat and pushing them into the center, with Peri. The girl couldn’t help but laugh. “Now, now, you guys... Don’t take it out on the new guy, you’re gonna get him killed!” Everyone laughs, of course, but the new person.

“Now, now... what’s your name? What brought you here?”
