A chuckle escapes the saiyan from the cheeky answer. Yes, if she can answer like this, she is fine. He knows he is going to have to answer all of her question after this. Still, he feels she deserves to know this much about him. What he is and where he is from. All things which will be done once they are out of this annoying situation.
He turns to face the group of creature making their way to them. Of the two swords tied to the belt. The smaller sharp weapon is taken out of its sheath. A simple turn of his head as he looks at Arone once more before he focuses completely on the task. The other woman is far from weak, she must have faced a situation more difficult than this. He is not going to let her die today.
Therefore, he decides to make sure to take them out with one attack. He sprints toward the frontline and drives his sword into the throat of the creature in front of him. This one now about to die, he removes his sword as quickly to block an incoming attack. He uses this opportunity to disarm the creature and crush its throat with his other hand. Another one has been taken out.
— I’m going to take a nice hot bath after today.
A bit of the blood of the creature landed in his hair and his clothes. He would prefer not to have the scent of blood sticking to him for a long period of time. Therefore, resumes the murder of the rest of the creature who did not realize they never had a chance.
Kobolds are far, far from the most dangerous creatures out there. Individually weak and often cowardly, especially when alone, one can encounter worse than a kobold hunting party out in the wilds. That does not mean one should completely dismiss them, however.
It is in their burrows that they truly become their most threatening, for it lets them use their cunning and innate ability to work together to full effect. Confusing tunnel layouts, surprisingly inventive and brutal traps, and uncanny ability to fight in exceptionally packed groups can combine to turn Kobold dens into death traps quite quickly. More than a few junior adventurers had died in such tunnels, the small reptilian creatures swarming over them in a wall of spears and blades.
Of course, against Kefla’s sheer strength, speed, and brutality, such swarming tactics are essentially useless. The small reptilian humanoids do their best to stab and slash as they try to overwhelm him with numbers, only for him to slip past their spears and rip into them. The creatures are suddenly on the defense, the group letting out yips and cries of panic as they try to escape and recover.
Arone, for her part, watches the carnage, impressed by Kefla’s offense as he forces back their opponents quite effectively. Kefla may indeed be new to adventuring or dungeon delving, but this display all but proves in her mind that he is certainly not new to fighting, and brutal close quarters killing in particular. It is satisfying to know, even if she does not truly need to know any actual details. Kefla will share those if he likes, but until for the moment, getting out of this is more important.
“Agreed! I’ll even pay, if needed. Let me know if you need any help!”
