Week one of drawing a Tau character every day! (Determined via spin the wheel)
Day 1: Rory Truong
RORY!!!! My girl, I’ve waited FAR too long to draw her! I’m honestly not too happy with the one on the right, but I was too lazy to clean it up. I’ve had her design in my head for a few years now, so it was fun to finally push myself to draw her! (If anyone has notes on how I can do her hair better, please let me know! They were supposed to be Bantu knots) you can tell I used a stock image for her shirt.
Day 2: Darceus Alamastern
I wanted to play w her design a tiny bit more, leaning further into natural fox markings than my previous art of her. She’s meant to be some form of piebald, which I hc that many kitsunes have. Her pin is the current dinner crew symbol, and her necklace is Hank’s zodiac. (there’s no real reason she would know that Hank had a zodiac on Alcor’s circle, but I just wanted to include a tribute to him) I’m not sure how I feel abt her markings rn, so I’ll probably continue to experiment.
Day 3: Magnus Wright
Magnus!! The arts kinda booty but wtv this is for fun and it was never meant to be high effort. Bonus bound Alcor
Day 4: Violet Beale
Violettttt! She ended up looking very much like Mira, so I tried to make Ian visible in her hair texture, clothing (it’s almost a flannel) and her nose. (eggsistential-breakdown was my main visual reference) I have her a pin with an atom on it (bc she’s into theoretical physics), which also conveniently looks sorta like a violet flower! So now I hc that’s her zodiac on Dip’s circle. I gave her dyed violet hair bc c’mon. Mira’s daughter named after a color? She would ABSOLUTELY take advantage of that! Also she has braces as a little nod to Mabel.
Day 5: Mike Pines
MIKE!!! Not much to say abt him. I love his character, and I’m so happy with how he turned out! I would have drawn his prosthetic leg, but if I’m doing one very day I don’t have time to do full bodies.
Day 6: Fluffy (Dragon)
You can tell I started to get lazy here. Little baby dragon 💜 he’s probably waiting for Matilda to hand down the riches or smth. I gave him a gator tail bc I like gators. As far as I know his name was a joke because he *didn’t* have any fluff, so I went with the western dragon approach. Also bc he is described as having wings.
Day 7: Robert Carter
I only learned of his existence today, so it was kind of hard to make a design for him. I ended up just using what came to mind when I thought of “cinnamon roll”, which is Toby. (That’s how both of them are described on their respective wikis) and then I ended up giving him my moles for fun!

I don’t expect to keep this thing up for long, or for every one to look good, but I’ll go for as long as I feel like! If anyone knows a character that isn’t on the wiki, feel free to reach out! I can add them to the wheel. Sorry for such a long post, but I like to document my thought processes.
And please keep in mind that these are all headcannons!!! You can draw these characters in any way you’d like! This is just what came to my mind when reading about them.
