My take on Eridian!Grace from @eggsandspam’s (amazing!!) fic Alternative Medicine, which was inspired by @pomellon’s (amazing!!) Eridian!Grace AU

My notes are mostly for the out-of-universe logic, rather than the actual science stuff behind what may influence his new form.

(Un) happy California destruction day!!

I love the hc that the local wildlife rapidly evolves due to intense magic exposure, creating an ecosystem unique to the destruction site. So I made some possible species that could develop 👀

I rushed a bit so I could post them on the destruction day, don’t mind the odd color choices. These are not their actual colors btw.

This week I was introduced to A Tale of Two Horses for the first time, and of course I had to try making designs for the horses!

Rainbow Basher:

Breed: Friesian Horse

Height: 18 hands

Coat: Sooty rainbow?

“The Horse”

Breed: Who knows. Mule ancestry?

Height: 15 hands

Coat: Blue Roan/Dapple Grey

I tried to research what horse breeds were used in battle (a ton were listed for carrying artillery) and turns out the Friesian Horses were used to carry knights in battle, because they were incredibly agile despite their size (and their strength helped with carrying heavy armor) And considering that today Friesians are viewed as one of (if not the) prettiest horse breeds, I figured it was perfect for Rainbow Basher! Also I made the blaze on her head resemble a shooting star, she originally belonged to Mabel after all.

For “The Horse” I aimed to make it much more ambiguous, like it had been bought from some farmer for its low price. I like to think it has some sort of mule ancestry, because mules are cool and it has the attitude for it. It’s on the smaller side, and the emaciation doesn’t help. Since the Car is blue, I gave the Horse a coat kind of like a Blue Roan’s, but at one point I accidentally inverted it and liked the Dappled Grey look I ended up with. It also has a white face bc it’s olddddd.

I just realised they make a rainbow when put in this order

Heavily inspired by drawings in the tau server, and by that I mean I basically took the designs and tried to make them in real life with mixed results

and the rainbow is PERFECTTTTT!!! I had no intentions of doing that, but it goes to show that they are meant to be pals. (Just like the Mane Six rainbow!)

It’s been a while since I made these now, but here’s my designs for the SYWTBAD in Mlp!

These were all inspired by @alvie-pines’s mlp designs for Alcor!

An explanation of their cutie marks:

Thomas- an open book with a summoning circle. I’ve heard it said before that this is his zodiac sign on Alcor’s circle, so I thought it’d be good to make it his cutie mark.

Elisha- a makeup brush surrounded by sparkles . She loves to glam things up, and can find the beauty in all sorts of things. (Unfortunately that’s not always a good thing. Like with Charlie

Eddie- the pattern of a computer chip. I meant for this to be something to do with systems, like being able to understand the inner workings of a demon deal, but I’m not sure if it came across well. I thought that the systems would translate well from demonology to his later job at the video game place.

Brad- two hooves bumping with a flame above them. This was meant to represent deal-making, since he studied demonology but later went to work at his dad’s company. (I’d like to say that their jobs are not their passions, but that they happened to find jobs that suited their abilities)

Maria- two feathers in front of a burst of light. Maria is a very passionate person, so the light represents that.

“Tyrone”- a stack of books with pine needle on top. He needed a fake cutie mark for the dare, so he just threw together something “studious”. The pine needles were for a little personalization.

Elisabeth- a notepad, pen, and magnifying glass. She’s always looking into things, trying to investigate mysteries and such!

I can’t give you a full annotated timeline but I can tell you who Jan Faust is!

He’s from the fic Judgement Day which is the first part to the Transcendence Comics Black Label arc.

Judgement day is a retelling of the classic German legend Faust, but I don’t want to spoil!! this fic is SO SO GOOD and single-chaptered! While it’s part of a series, the fic itself is more standalone, it just happens to set off the events of the following fics. I HIGHLY recommend that you read it, it’s one of my favorite tau fics of all time!

As for the annotated timeline, you can probably get more help from the discord than from me, the discord is linked in the pinned post of the official tau blog!

Mabel’s Guide to the Dippers of Gravity Falls!

I was thinking about Portal Fantasy (my beloved) when I realized just how many times Dipper had been replaced/impersonated/imitated by someone who wasn’t him. I played around with this idea for a while, and eventually thought that Mabel would make a “guide” of sorts in the journal. (I just wanted to draw them all together)

From left to right we have

Shifty the Shapeshifter (technically he didn’t impersonate dipper, but I wanted to add him bc he still took Dipper’s form for a few seconds)

I considered adding Dippy Fresh, but decided against it (I couldn’t make the canvas any bigger)

How I imagine Keyhole from @biplet’s Portal Fantasy!

I made this a bit ago now but I forgot to post it.

Some changes there are from canon:

The keyhole is now a wound (Biplet’s idea)

He is no longer naked

His pupils are also shaped like keyholes

He has scars from his time in the nightmare dimension

His loincloth is made of human skin, and decorated with keys and bones alike. The charm with blue beads is meant to be a token to signify his alliance with Bill
