Violet Song had made it her life’s mission to become a force to be reckoned with, no matter what field she went into. However, the path her family had set her on was either being a doctor, lawyer, or an engineer. Since she didn’t quite mesh with bodily fluids it boiled down to arguing or math and she selected the former. Even then, Violet wasn’t a huge fan of her career choice and was gifted an ego that told her that she was made for something else. Why spend all of this time with these stuffy old men when she could be on a private jet going somewhere fabulous? Still, she hadn’t quite argued her way into the later position (yet). Violet’s thirst for youth around the office had often been satiated by the little minions that were hired in each year to complete some form of internship. Most of them finding themselves in tears in the bathroom by the sharp tongue of the senior partners. There had been a few through the years that she had interned and worked at the firm that she did like, though. One of those being Erin Phang. Erin was a sweet girl, some argued naïve, but it was nice to not have a totally jaded mid-life crisis having senior partner around.
So when Violet witnessed Erin showing up late to the Christmas party with one of the most brutal senior partners she couldn’t help but let her jaw drop. Violet, in all of her power-suit glory with wine in hand, instantly rushed to Erin as she and Lex Crawford parted ways. “Oh my God!” she couldn’t damper her thrill, “Are you serious right now? What did I just see?” She waved a hand in the air, making a motion as if her head was exploding. “You just came in to the party... late... with Lex... and you got out of his car?” She nudged Erin quickly, “Please tell me you were just out there getting all of that overtime.”
