In honor of the first "fan oc" being made, I decided to post the cleaned sketches of the boys

So, meet the "new" Tulgey Wood dorm 🧡

You can tell its taken me a while because of the style change

In order: Chase Shard, Nathaniel Blanc, Jasper Wocky, Jensen Byrde, Xander Arripio and Viorel Tempus (the new member)

A dorm based on the "loyalty" of the jabberwocky

Lizz, okay... Circus au for tulgey woods (with best cat girl of course)

👉👈 Do you mean one of my favorite au ideas?!!! I've been brain rotting this since I got the ask-

A circus full of runaways (with inspo from the Noah's Arc Circus from Kuroshitsuji)

Human au (so no beastfolk/monsters) but an Alice in Wonderland themed circus where performers are known by their "role" in the story instead of their real name

"Red Rose" aka Rose, the one who took over after the deaths of the previous ringleaders. And the oldest in the circus

"Glasses bird" aka Altair, the "big brother" of the circus. Rather than having an act he helps behind the scenes

"Jabberwocky" aka Jasper, the snake charmer (think Snake from Kuroshitsuji, "half snake"). The child of the previous ringleaders who was too young to take over.

"Jubjub bird" aka Jensen, the trapeze artist. Very snarky, prefers to be in the air and even when the show is not on he prefers to be hidden up high.

"Cheshire" aka Catherine, does aerial silks. Often argues with Jensen on who is the better aerial act. Part of her act goes dark for black lights

"Bandersnatch" aka Xander, the knife thrower. Very nervous and jumpy when not performing

"White Rose" aka Nathaniel, the tight rope walker. Always a show off, designs his own outfits

"Time" aka Viorel, does the Cyr wheel. Probably the most serious one in the whole circus. Has everyone timed and has them aim to keep the same length of performance every time

"Looking Glass" aka Chase, the beast tamer. Always makes his act more dangerous than the other members would like

But now I wanna draw this/work on this more. I adore the circus aesthetic and would love to try out how this would change current dynamics/ships that I have.

I know Catherine has scars, do other woods kids have scars too?

Most of the woods characters have scars-

Chase Shard

Mirror cracking like scars down his back and torso focused around his heart and branching out

Nathaniel Blanc

Many scars on his feet from bad heels /pushing himself in uncomfortable/badly made stage clothing

Xander Arripio

Scars on his hands, cuts in his ears and faint scars on his upper arms

Viorel Tempus

Scar over his heart and small scars over his body (think scratches on old clock faces)

Jensen Byrde

Brand burned into his lower back, small scars near his eyes, scars on his torso(bite mark on his hand from Catherine and a claw mark on his hip from Jasper), and scars on his back around his wings(where they attempted to remove them)

Catherine Shire

Missing part of her ear, claw scar (from Jasper), talon scar on her side (from Jensen), slight burn on the back of her neck (from using magic for the first time), scars on her forearms (mom's punishments) and scars on her knuckles(punching mirrors)

Jasper Wocky

Has the most scars(all the ones above), plus burns on his back (from Catherine), talon scars on his legs (from Jensen), assorted scars from transforming for the first time (ex: large scars going down his back from the first time he got his full sized wings) and accidental scars from dealing with his new body (post first jabberwocky transformation)

This is just reminding me that I actually need to draw/show their scars

I mean, if y'all wanna ship with them feel free-

Chase Shard

A total tease to his S/O, will constantly appear behind them or in trees. A big flirt who will only go further if his S/O gets shy. Mischievous cat. 10/10 will say "That's my girl/boy/kit", expect sudden kisses and hugs from behind

Nathaniel Blanc

Prim and proper, prepare to be out dressed. Initially cold (calls his love interest "a weed") but will eventually warm up and call them flower pet names. Not the most PDA focused oc but will steal kisses when no one is looking

Jasper Wocky

Himbo jabberwocky, a total sweet boy/"boy next door". Slightly oblivious to feelings and romantic gestures. Will use his wings as shade for his S/O or to bring them closer. If his S/O is fine with it, night flights

Xander Arripio

Soft boy, very awkward in affection and when he's flustered he will talk in 3rd person (since everyone called him by his name growing up he just took it as he has to say it). Soft spoken, hides his teeth to not scare people so expect kisses through the mask until he's comfortable (and only in private)

Jensen Byrde

The cold shoulder lover, no PDA but will also glare at whoever tries to make a move on his S/O(will pull them in with a wing). A man of few words, expect awkward pet names. He's terrible with feelings and affection but he is sincere. May take his S/O on flights and jokingly drop them before quickly catching them

Viorel Tempus

Another prim and proper, but he will show PDA just more old fashioned. If he's flustered the ticking of his clock gets louder. Will make small creations for his love. Expect old fashioned poetry and afternoon strolls

Goodbye, my friend

Content warning: Death/mourning of loved one

Characters: Catherine Shire, Jensen Byrde, Rose Corsen, Altair Covey, Xander Arripio, Viorel Tempus and Jasper Wocky

The rustling sound of trees made Rose turn. Upon seeing a familiar shadow she perked up, walking toward the edge of the protected forest "Jen-" the happiness left her voice as the smell of blood began to overwhelm her. From the darkness came Jensen, holding the lifeless body of Catherine. The smile and life she was used to seeing was gone, now the girl laid limp. Once pink hair was an ashen blonde, and bright yellow eyes were a dull blank blue.

"No..." The word was caught in her throat as she covered her mouth with her hands. Jensen looked at her expressionless, holding the girl's body close "Big sis... I'm so sorry..." He mumbled monotone. Rose swayed as she stumbled towards the two "Catherine...!" She held the girl's face in her hands, sniffling as she closed Catherine's eyes. Softly she kissed her forehead, brushing stray strands of hair out of her face. Rose vines started to creep down Rose's arms as she stepped back before falling to her knees, wailing "my baby!!!!!" She sobbed, causing more and more roses to grow around her. Her red hair covered her face as she continued to cry.

Jensen continued to walk, other forest children looked up to see the two before sniffling, looking down. Slowly Altair approached, the usual grin off his face "Cathy... I wanted you back home... But not like this..." He bit his lip as his glasses began to fog up. He looked down, letting his tears fall. He held Catherine's hand as they passed, letting it fall out of his as she was carried away only to have it return lifeless at her side.

One of the younger children would approach Jensen, tugging the end of his jacket as she looked up big eyes full of tears "For... For big sissy..." She held up a flower, using her other hand to clumsily wipe her tears. A smile almost tugged at his lips as he adjusted how he held Catherine, grabbing the flower to put it in her hair "Thanks...".

The boy continued to carry her through the woods, allowing the rest of her family to see and mourn her. Some of the older kids joined him as he walked to her final resting place. Behind Jensen trailed Xander, Jasper, Viorel, Rose and Altair. The group was silent, save for sniffles and quiet sobs. Once they happened upon the two skeletons he stopped. Before them were the skeletal "statues" of Jasper's parents, forever stuck in their Jabberwocky form. He walked between them to a tree which was covered in claw marks, the tree Catherine tried and failed to climb countless times as a child.

Jensen stood still as he looked at the tree. Jasper put his hand on his shoulder "Jen, you have to let her go..." The other bit his lip harder, silently holding her closer "Big brother... She's gone" Xander mumbled. "Her time is up, my dear friend. But our clocks continue to tick.." Viorel spoke softly. Seconds felt like hours before Jensen eventually nodded, he looked down at Catherine's face peaceful in her eternal sleep. Her injuries showed that she was not asleep, blood covering her neck and staining the middle of her shirt. His lip quivered as he slowly put her down, kneeling down in the process. As soon as she was out of his arms they fell limp at his side. The others joined him on the ground, Rose put a single white rose in her hands. Jasper reached for Rose's hand, Jensen rubbing her shoulder as the group stayed there, mourning the loss of their sister, their best friend and their love.

How old were everyone in the forest when Catherine showed up and why are they there. I know you said Catherine ran away???

Rose Corsen: 17; after the passing of her husband, her mother abandoned her in the forest, unable to continue to care for her

Altair Covey: 16; Having terrible vision, when flying with his father he landed in the forest. Unable to find his way out he stayed

Viorel Tempus: 14; His old form died in the forest, leaving a pocket watch for him to be reborn from

Jensen Byrde: 14(months younger than Viorel); after both his parents were killed he was forced into a cage for his feathers and talons(rare and valuable as most jubjub birds are killed), upon breaking out he escaped into the forest

Jasper Wocky: 13; he was born and raised in the forest by his parents who, upon hunters finding out that rare and valuable "monsters" reside in the forest sacrificed themselves to forever protect the forest and their "children"

Catherine Shire: 12; escaped from an abusive household, stumbling in the woods she was taken in by the others after being badly wounded

Xander Arripio: 12(months younger than Catherine); upon being orphaned, he was given two choices by his finders: run away and never return or be killed. He was not in the forest when Catherine arrived (joined the family 2 years after her, but is the same age as her)

The kids were not always alone, and it's not just them(there are other children). There are/were others in the forest though the oldest one who was always in the forest was Rose (after the deaths of Jasper's parents)
