thank you! not rude at all, no plans to restock the old art book since it's a few years old now but definitely fingers crossed hoping i can get the ball rolling on a new art book in the future! (near future if i'm lucky!)

Habitat: Mainly found in rain forests, open woodland bordering forests, & swamps. Often persist in hedge rows & other bushes long after deforestation. Found in several central African countries, typically in habitats like those along the river Gabon. 

Activity and Behavior: Arboreal, often climb to heights of 6 m (20 ft.) or more. Usually nocturnal; may bask in sun during the day. Commonly forage for small rodent prey at ground level. Females usually bear litters of 5-8 live young, each about 6 inches long. 

Venom Characteristics: Venom not well studied, but likely hemotoxic. Bites rare, but at least one human fatality reported. No specific antivenom currently produced, but good paraspecific neutralization has been reported.

Male West African Gaboon viper

Big fangs. Very cytotoxic. Fast strikers. Nearly invisible in forest floor leaf bed. Thicc bodied danger slugs. Venom also contains cardiotoxins that possess neurotoxic properties which may be more dangerous than the cytotoxins (cocktail of hot fuckery will kill you dead).  Do watch your step and do not attempt to handle w/o the proper experience.
