Day 18 - Hackneyed
Chotan gritted his teeth. Damn Virazahan and that blasted Perch of the Apex. It was incredibly hard to stay within his beloved leylines with all of those rocks falling around everywhere. It was hard to keep up his casts without staying still! Gah, he knew he had to do more training than this. It was all he could do to keep on his feet!
Still, at least he wasn’t the only one struggling, even Q’hara looked like he was gritting his teeth in concentration, as he too, had to step lightly and swiftly around these blasted rockfalls. Though his movements seemed so much more graceful than Chotan’s clumsy steps. What strength did he find through all of his travels?
How could he call himself the greatest Black Mage of Hingashi if-
No! No time for self wallowing! It is time to burn! Burn these blasted plants away that were swarming around them! Fire VI! Fire VI! FIIIIIRE IV! Feel the energies of astral and umbral exist within you at once! And FORCE IT OUT! AND BUUUUUURN! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Before Chotan, the various created plantkin lay in ashes. As Virazhan rushed forward arms waving in fear, Chotan could only cackle maniacally. He would show this hack of a ‘hero’ what true power was!
“...is he always like this?” Tepeke whispered to Q’hara.
“When he’s able to burn things to cinders...most of the time, yes,” Q’hara replied.
